  1. CBC asks why aren't Canada's ethics rules keeping politicians out of trouble? Does CBC know that it’s been exclusively Trudeau, his finance Minister, and his Intergovernmental Affairs Minister who are guilty? So the question really should be: "Why are Trudeau Liberals continuously breaking ethics laws"... https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/conflict-interest-ethics-leblanc-trudeau-1.4824472?cmp=rss

  2. Comparing him to Trump is silly. None of his policies are similar to Trump. Or can you find one? I would agree he has a disagreeable personality, and I was certainly not pleased when he won the leadership job. But he's far more moderate than Trump and his public statements to date have been reasonable and articulate. We seem to get this bleat every time the conservatives win. Yet nobody seems to care when Liberals win with similar numbers. Trudeau didn't even get 40%. Do you consider him illegitimate?

  4. I guess Justin will be hitting the bong pretty hard after this. Finally, a Liberal with a conscience does the right thing for Canada and Canadians. Hopefully this will just be the start. https://torontosun.com/news/national/liberal-mp-leona-alleslev-slams-trudeau-crosses-floor-to-tories?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook#Echobox=1537206191

  5. The video is one sided and biased FOR the regime and likely why this video was selected to be attached. It speaks a few short seconds about the regime having false accounts using twitter as false propaganda and the entire remainder of the video is used against those who mostly genuinely speak out against regime brutally, bad economy and deplorable situation of Iranian people. .I recognized one of the persons in the video. He lobbied Obama administration hard for the failed nuclear deal which was a key factor for regime survival. I read in some articles that he dresses nice and wears nice ties but is planted abroad by the murderous regime posing as an opposition but in reality he lobbies for the regime. I can't authenticate the second statement though do confirm first. It is incredible that a regime who has BANNED social media, twitter and Facebook included and knocks on the doors of those who dare to comment critically about the regime and arrests or kidnaps and jails and tortures them and sends his agents to murder opposition figures abroad is now speaking about democracy and freedom for social media!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and accusing the opponents of behaving in an undemocratic manner!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Good point. I think we do need a national debate on that: do we maintain the welfare state or open up to more immigration: Can't have both!

  7. Yep. Brett Baier is great too. So is Shep Smith. Detractors of Fox News always try to smear the entire network with one or two people. They also conflate the news programming with the opinion programming. They are very different, much like a newspapers news vs opinion pages.

  8. Bernier is not actually an isolationist on immigration. My understanding is that he believes immigration levels and rules need to be adjusted to suit the needs and interests of the Canadian economy. Too many immigrants perform poorly upon arriving in Canada and too often continue to do so for quite some time, becoming an ongoing drain on public resources. Economically, of course, Bernier's views tilt toward libertarianism, or government non-interference in the economy. But as the famous libertarian economist Milton Friedman once noted, open immigration cannot realistically co-exist with a welfare state model. Bernier's party, if it comes to power, will have to pull back on immigration and work to curb the welfare state before easing up on immigration policy. It's the only rational and fair solution.

  9. As people mature, they realize the choices they make have consequences and the good people among them try to mitigate the damage by making better choices. You don't have to attack them just because you haven't reached that stage yet. When you're older, you'll probably be mortified by some of the things you've said and the damage you've caused, and environmentalism will make sense to you because you'll realize human life is precious and shouldn't be taken for granted.

  10. Yes, we know. Many others disagree with that sentiment, and some of them are not even deplorable.

  13. What did you like about her? Her incompetence on every file? Her huge deficits? Her dishonesty in trying to hide her deficits? What makes Horvath a 'woman of the people' and Ford not a 'man of the people', other than you not liking his polices? I agree he's not particularly noted as being a genius, but then neither is Horvath. So this seems to all boil down to you preferring a left leaning leader who will offer you lots of 'stuff' as opposed to a right leaning leader who won't.

  14. This judge was the same one who awarded Millions to Kahdar and is a friend of John Tory. The hysteria over all this is astounding, looks like it`s going to be a fun 4 years.

  18. 1) Hillary Clinton used a law firm to funnel money to Russians, through Christopher Steele, for dirt on D trump. If she paid Russians for info isn't that the kind of thing that they're trying to get on Trump? 2) LMAO, you've been programmed Argus. Your buttons have been pushed and your internal BS filter has been turned off by CNN and CBC. It's a known fact that Hillary had evidence destroyed after it was subpoenaed by the FBI. I can get you a link if you want. Strzok/Comey investigated her and let her off the hook. She was also negligent in her handling of classified information. They still let her off the hook. Strzok was wildly biased in favour of Hillary, whom he let off the hook, and against Trump, against whom he started an investigation (aka insurance policy). Those guys tampered with witness statements, misrepresented the accuracy of Christopher Steele's intel, and presented it as being independently corroborated when they knew it wasn't. Should FBI agents get fired for that, or not? Is the FBI the Democrats' equivalent of the KGB now? They do this stuff with impunity, and get medals and raises? I'd like to see what kind of coherent response you can muster for this because honestly I'm fed up with CNN's mindless drones uttering the same bullshit all the time.

  19. It also, under the current court, allows unlimited money to pour into the election and re-election efforts of politicians, allowing corporations and wealthy people to buy them in wholesale lots, which is destroying their democracy. I'll take the monarchy any day.
