And? What did the UN do when the Arabs rejected the partition plan and invaded Israel? Did they help Israel to protect its borders and safeguards its people against this aggression? Did the UN help the hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees fleeing persecution in Arab countries after the founding of Israel? In later years, did the UN even so much as lift a finger to deter Hezbollah from arming itself and committing acts of aggression against Israel? No, no, and no. The UN does nothing regardless of what the Arabs do, but condemns Israel again and again. The UN has zero credibility on the Arab-Israeli conflict, and therefore is irrelevant.

What I have checked through the history of Canadian politics it seems the closest thing to the PM being ousted by his own party was in 2003 when Chretien didn't seek re-election as party-leader but he was probably scared that he would lose to Paul Martin. Do you agree?

A Canadian liberal MP from St. Catherines, Ont. by the name of Chris Bittle has called people who held a demonstration against these ISIS terrorists returning back to Canada were all called a bunch of "white supremacists" by him after they were seen holding a sign saying "jail ISIS fighters". The liberal party prefers to call them "extremist travelers". WTH? Only the liberals could come up with a name like that. So, demonstrate against ISIS returning jihadi terrorists and you will get called a white supremacists. You are not correct....the Senate is part of Congress, which passed a law many years ago recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. There is nothing you can do about that from Canada.

I doubt Trump knows what US policy is going to be. I doubt he could even find the middle east on a map.

It's mutual, but far more one sided in the case of Canada. If it is not a choice, then what is it ? Mexico has a very long history with the U.S. as well, arguably with more geographic impact than Canada. More people speak Spanish in the U.S. than French in Canada. Exactly....I have no sympathy for Canada's/Freeland's/Trudeau's insistence that the U.S. must continue to bear the "burden of leadership" just because Canada, Germany, France, and other nations refuse to do so. America does not exist to provide what other nations refuse to provide for themselves. All U.S. presidents are criticized...it's part of the job description. Irrational FEAR of Trump blunts and distorts such criticism compared to previous presidents and their policies.

We have a PM that seems determined to join the Jihad. We SHOULD have other things to worry about besides the President...you'd think.

So is the voracious appetite for American content (including Trump) a distraction from important (or boring) issues in Canada ? This has been true long before Trump ever ran for president.

That picture of a stunned looking Wynne has to be the best picture ever taken in Canada ever. Wynne is just a prime example as to how far our dear leader politically correct politicians will go for a chance to have a picture taken with or near terrorist foreigners. Wynne sitting their allowing herself to look like a fool just shows me that Canada truly is on the road to destruction complements of our stupid snowflake politicians. It is no wonder I have no use for any of them anymore. They are not loyal to Canada at all. They prefer to show their loyalties to the rest of the world, and will bring in millions of them just for their vote, dam the consequences. Deplorable.

I will say this for a poster who has asked I speak out as well. I have close friends who left Iran for Israel and Canada-some Jews, some Bahaiis, some Muslims. I also know gays, Zoroastreans who had to leave Iran. I don't claim to speak for Iranians. I do listen to many that came here to get away from the extremist fundamentalist theocracy. Iran had its issues with its Shah yes but it was a modern nation. Persians as I call Iranians because they are Persian, were not enemies of Israel or the West or anyone. Since the theocracy took over people have been living under tyranny. Brave Iranians-Persians have died, been tortured, trying to change the government. Students can and do die and get tortured as do journalists, etc. Ironically we have trendy leftists in this country who speak out saying the Hijab is something we should be tolerant of and yet in Iran it can be seen as a symbol of repression against women. We don't get what it means in Iran. We don't get what Iranians live with. We have idiots like the brother of Justin Trudeau who made a bull crap documentary extolling the virtues of the theocracy in Iran. I can only pray the people of Iran find their way out of their current situation and I think we should support the students, the people morally try break free. Its a struggle no different then people breaking free from the Communist regimes in the East of Europe at one point. Our Prime Minister should speak up a bit more. I know Iranians in Canada fear if they say anything their families back home might get it. I get that. So I just say to them, I think many of us hope your people win their battle for freedom.
