I couldn't agree more. Some of those 16-17 hour plane rides got a little tiring, but at the far end when the door opened, the sights, the sounds, the smells, the foods, and most of all the people were as educational as any classroom I've ever been in.

SoCons need to come to terms with the fact that it's not the government's role to have a say on social issues. And just people, in your tent, can have harsh judgement on people with hardline Islamic views, people have issues with Conservative Christian doctrine. You'll spend the rest your lives in opposition if you feel that you can't support a political party that won't try to enforce your own social values. At the same time, people on the left shouldn't demonize people for their personal views. That's especially hypocritical because they aren't nearly as judgemental on the personal views of people that come from other religions. This should all be about how the tax money we get taken from us gets spent, nothing more.

I believe that the conservatives knew they'd lose the 2019 election. Trudeau is too popular right now and enjoys too much support to lose the next election, Harper imploded his own party. That is why their best canidates like Kenny and Mackay chose not to run. The best candidate the conservatives had was probably bernier or chong. Sheer's election has guaranteed that Trudeau will win again. 1. Sheer is a Western Canadian with poor french running against a francophone liberal. 2. Central Canada particularly Ontario has become increasingly more liberal and it will be almost impossible for a social conservative to win without cracking this region and it is almost impossible for a social conservative to win this region. 3. Trudeau has pivoted to the left of the ndp making it hard for anyone to beat him. 4. There are 4 maritime provinces who are dependent on government handouts mostly federal. No real conservative will crack these areas.

Ny dream is to hope we can get back to the idea of "I may not agree with what you're saying, but I'll defend your right to say it". That we can have good open dialogue and put forth an argument without a group of people shutting down free speech, looting, breaking windows, setting fires and attacking people with bike locks because they choose to support a different idea. My dream is to send my kids to a rock concert or sporting event without the presence of the military and know that they'll come home. My dream is to golf at St. Andrews in Scotland.

You are so full of crap. These words are used as a substitute of character.....that makes them bigoted whether directed at that applicable person or not. He said "Fag" to insinuate that he was feminine and not a man to face him. He could have said "Jew/Kike" to insinuate he was being cheap or "nigga" to insinuate "lazy" or some other undesirable characteristic bigots associate with other cultures. Its because some people are raised to believe its OK to describe culture not people like this and not generally they are a racist. Hence why now terrorist only has one cultural meaning.
