  1. How many of the latter are coming into Canada, as opposed to the former? I've personally never met a tolerant Muslim myself, but perhaps others have. I'm sure there are some. Irshad Manji, for example. But I don't believe there are many that would be regarded as 'tolerant' if you use the same standard as is commonly used towards Caucasians in Canada. Do you think there'll be a lot of hijabs at Toronto's gay pride parade? A lot of bearded Muslim men? I mean, the Toronto media depicted Rob Ford as a horrible homophobic bigot simply because he wouldn't go to the pride parade. Do you think the average Muslim in Canada is more tolerant than Ford was? I read what the religion says a good Muslim should do and think about infidels and gays and atheists and women, and none of it is tolerant. I look at how Muslims behave in the dozens of countries in which they are the majority and I don't see much tolerance there either. So why would I think a devoted Muslim would be tolerant towards equality? Well, they don't believe in Capitalism, for one, just like Muslims - those who follow the mainstream beliefs of Islam - don't believe in gender equality or rights for gays. One did not have to be a Communist to live in a Communist country. But Communism is not a religion, it's an ideology. Islam is both a religion and an ideology combined. I have yet to hear, in any debate between Muslims and the likes of Sam Hill or Bill Maher or Douglas Murray or Peter or Christopher Hitchens, that you can be a good Muslim while rejecting basic tenets of the religion. I have yet to hear a defender of Islam state, even one time "Oh well, yes the quran says that, but we can ignore that." or anything similar. Below, as an example, is a discussion of Islam and extremism on the BBC. The individual representing Islam, Asim Qureshi, is an educated, well-spoken British born leader of a Muslim advocacy group who evidently has often been used on the BBC and other programs as an example of a moderate Muslim. Only this presenter, Andrew Neil, had apparently done his homework, and pointed out the incredibly intolerant stuff on Qureshi's web site, and some of the things he'd said in the past. And despite being pinned down, Qureshi refused to say that he disapproved of stoning. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0n-08I3P8s

  2. Jews now have far more to fear from Macron because he plays down the Islamic terrorism and appears willing to do nothing about illegal migrants and will likely open the flood gates to more Islamic people who generally hate the Jews. ( I know, not all of them do) Netanyahu did say that one of the greatest threats facing Israel and France is radical Islamic terror which has struck Paris, Jerusalem and so many other cities around the world. Macron does not appear to be the one to to give much hope for the future of Jews in France or will secure the borders. I’d say it was a toss between the plague and cholera…. They chose political correctness and someone who will do nothing to halt the Islamic invasion of Europe, or if you will, the Quiet Conquest. Take that anyway you want,

  3. You honestly think a few people on internet web sites are the cause of a growing distrust of Muslims throughout the Western world and not the continuing acts of terrorism, violence and intolerance coming from the Muslim world? I mean, measured against people like me and DOG are the entire Canadian media, with its slavish devotion to multiculturalism and inclusiveness, and all three political parties at all levels assuring us of how wonderful Muslims are. And you think WE are in any way influencing things?

  4. Running an engine with the prop stopped would work fine as an APU although I don't see how it wouldn't burn a lot more fuel than a smaller turbine. It provides none of the redundancy of an APU in the event of an engine failure. With engine failures on twin engine jets, after the emergency actions are carried out the next thing on the checklist is, start the APU.

  5. Apparently it can use one engine in "APU Mode" running with the prop not turning but that doesn't provide any redundancy in the event of an engine failure. I don't know what it uses for an electric backup and it won't have a pneumatic backup without an APU.

  6. All Muslims are suspect because their holy book orders them to fight the unbeliever...not be nice to the unbeliever...not turn the other cheek...fight...kill. Which Muslims are the ones that are going to go "mentally ill" and cause the next terror attack? Nobody knows...but it WILL happen.

  7. Imagine asserting what Muslims believe based upon their very, very openly and repeatedly and determinedly stated, written and demonstrated religious beliefs... I bet I can tell you what Communists believe too.

  9. Protesting peacefully outside is free speech. Beating up the speaker and those coming to listen is not. Clear?

  10. This is an interesting article that supports Euler: "Note also that no empirical study has backed the idea that limiting someone’s speech advances the causes of those at society’s margins or inhibits the formation of hate groups. In Baer’s native Germany, as well as a number of other European countries, it is a crime to deny the Holocaust; until recently Germany barred publication of Mein Kampf. None of that prevented the rise of neo-Nazis there or the advent of a virulent strain of xenophobia directed against foreign laborers and other immigrants. Barring speakers or preventing hate speech does not safeguard the oppressed. It empowers the oppressors, and it suggests that their words are to be feared for a compelling, persuasive power that, absent the muzzle, might infect others." http://www.chronicle.com/article/Free-Speech-but-Not-for-All-/239909?key=gsJGLTrc0E7aWqq9G6kbgV9K8e4jNa2bn-kThO-jWSeTQW7ucDGmLbY4qBrfU85bRzhzb3RzLXFNODJlTUpsdlJHeGxSTk1ZeDBnVmV2MzVWcmlYWmNWYURfNA

  15. What makes what YOU think Islamophobia is, the right definition? Your definition of an Islamophobe is very very broad. I base my opinion of THE RELIGION on how its adherents act. 90% of the Muslims I've met have been demanding, violent, rude, selfish, unhappy people. The other 10% basically ignored me because I'm A.) Not Muslim, and B.) A woman. In spite of this, I don't go around ripping off hijabs and burkas, or screaming at them to go back to wherever they came from. In spite of this, I still give every single one of them that I meet the benefit of the doubt. Yes, I'm cautious around them, and that apparently makes me an Islamophobe. I don't "hate" Muslims, and the only "fear" I have is legitimate, as I have been physically attacked, screamed at, yelled at, slapped, watched in horror while they all verbally abused an Israeli girl telling her she and her family in Israel all needed to die, etc. I'm sorry, but I completely disagree with your assessment that it's only a TINY, TINY, BARELY PERCEPTABLE, "ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT" MINORITY who are bringing these kinds of attitudes to Canada. It's not. But yeah, the problem is all me. I'm an Islamophobe because I don't like being treated like $hit,

  16. I didn't realize how much discrimination existed against Muslims either until I arrived here and began reading posts by you and DoP. I'm aware that this ill-feeling toward Muslims has not yet reached the levels experienced by Jews, Chinese or Japanese in Canada. Is there some reason we should ignore it till it does reach the same levels?
