Lori Chavez-DeRemer was facing multiple scandals and a misconduct investigation.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer, President Trump’s embattled labor secretary, stepped down on Monday as multiple scandals and investigations closed in on her. An internal investigation into her leadership was reviewing allegations of widespread misconduct, including the use of department resources for personal trips and having an affair with a member of her security team.

Investigators spoke with several dozen witnesses, and uncovered evidence that Ms. Chavez-DeRemer and her staff abused federal spending limits on personal trips, several people familiar with the investigation said, including on fancy hotels, S.U.V. rentals and meals. Four people have already left or been forced out of their jobs in connection with the investigation.

Investigators had also reviewed personal text messages sent to young female staff members by Ms. Chavez-DeRemer, her former deputy chief of staff, her husband and her father. The messages, reported last week by The New York Times, suggested that the secretary was drinking during the workday and raised questions about professionalism with her staff.

The likelihood of embarrassing details coming out through the inspector general inquiry was compounded by a parallel inquiry on Capitol Hill: Senator Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, the Republican chair of the Judiciary Committee, demanded internal records and statements from the department in connection with the allegations.

Ms. Chavez-DeRemer’s husband has been barred from the department’s headquarters, after female staff members accused him of making unwanted sexual advances, including filing a police report.

What I find absolutely hilarious that these MAGA hypocrite scumbags endlessly shriek about “restoring meritocracy” and falsely claiming everyone is unqualified but then are constantly exposed as the most corrupt and unqualified people you can for any job, turning their departments is cesspools of massive incompetence and mismanagement and corruption

Now do Carney 🤣

No? Don't care?

Then STFU, hypocrite.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

OMG, look at you go, girlfriend.

Buddy, the Governors of Minnesota and California are doing everything they can to cover up billions of dollars worth of fraud.

Not to investigate it, to cover it up.

Somehow the whole governments of California and Minnesota didn't notice all that fraud, and none of the investigative journalists from CNN, MSNBC, NPR, ABC, CBS, NBC etc "noticed" it either... it took a social media influencer with a high school education and an iphone 12 to uncover it all.

Then the gov't of California introduced a bill to protect the type of information that Nick Shirley accessed in order to track down all that fraud, and criminalized its use.

1) The fraud claims by your uneducated social media propagandist have not been substantiated  Gullible dropout fools like you will believe any ridiculous far fetched claim posted on social media as long as its convenient to your cult but most intelligent people understand social media is a cesspool of fake news

2) The claims even if they were true have nothing to do with the topic of this thread, which is corruption, abuse, mismanagement and toxic workplace created by the incompetent unqualified corrupt MAGA shitbags and grifters Trump has appointed to run the country into the ground.

Ah yes… the classic leftist criticism.

Much easier to have no principles and not care so you can throw stones at people who do.

We are all shocked that an unqualified, amoral grifter nominated equally unfit and inept crooks to his cabinet.

This is shocking.

But when the only bullet point on the job description is "unwavering, sycophantic personal loyalty" I guess you take what you can get.

Just cause you pretend investigations are guilt as designed by RepubliCON campaign strategy, doesn't make it true.

It means you're EASILY CONNED.

Her name's hyphenated so you know she's a feminist. Probably a RINO.

The President needs to be more discriminating next time.

You would like to think that, but no, you only care about principles inasmuch as you can call out hypocrisy on others.

This is all very interesting but...Swalwell is gone, Newsome and Tampon Tim are being investigated for fraud, and the California governor race is lead by both Republicans.

So have your moment Libbies. It won't last.

There are no such accusations against Carney you ignorant dropout crackpot.

So, not only do you live in a f'ing bubble, you didn't even bother to look into it.

A simple google search will find this for you:

  • Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney's first year in office (March 2025 – February 2026) was marked by scrutiny over significant taxpayer-funded in-flight catering expenses, with over $524,000 (CAD) spent on food and beverages for 28 official trips.

Half a million dollars on food just during his flight-time, dingus.

He has spent ten grand on food for a 1-hr flight before.

You're an abomination.

Not at all the same thing. And that’s for the entire entourage that accompanied him on the 28 flights not for one person. Your ignorance knows no bounds

Newsome and Walz themselves are not being directly implicated or investigated for fraud. And the politically motivated “investigations” are being conducted by Republican politicians based on dubious “evidence” from a MAGA “social media influencer” not by law enforcement authorities and not bases on any verified actual evidence.

He's spending tens of thousands of dollars on short flights, at a time when his own economic failures are making it hard for Canadians to get basic groceries.

$21,000 on a flight from Ottawa to DC, for only 55 people, is insane.

That's almost $400 per person on one <2-hr flight. It costs those people $200/hr to eat and drink. How do you even do that?

When was the last time that you consumed $400 worth of food and drinks, just by yourself, in under 2 hours? Have you ever had a $800 bill for two people?

If you have, good for you, but I've never come close to that.

The LPoC tyrants are entirely responsible for the strained food banks and the massive homeless encampments in Canada, that didn't exist before 2015, yet they consume enough food and booze on a 2-hr flight to blow a family's food budget for 1 week.

That wasn't the cost for 28 flights. It was over $500,000.00 for food and booze for the flights on his 28 trips.

It costs about $200/hr to feed LPoC cronies on an airplane when they go to DC to roll over every time Trump raises his voice.

I wish Trump would just run our country from Twitter ffs.
