"We have a president who does not believe in truth. This is far different from anything we have experienced." - Carl Bernstein

You're stuck on Trump.  I don't like Trump either but to say that he's the biggest liar is a stretch.  Ever watched any stump speeches from early Biden, or Bill Clinton?  The difference between Trump and another other liar like Clinton, is that Clinton never had to worry over alternative media outlets exposing his lies within minutes, and the same goes for Joe Biden until the later years.

In your analogy, a man can robbing a small bank isn't quite as bad as a man robbing a large bank.

It's NOT a stretch and you have ZERO EVIDENCE for YOUR CLAIM. OTOH, Trump's prolific LIES have been documented for his first term. And if anything he has exceeded that count in his second term.

Quote
In the period it has tracked data, The Washington Post's Fact Checker team has found that Donald Trump has made a much greater number of false or misleading claims than other presidents. There is no definitive, non-partisan answer to the question of who is the "biggest liar" in history, as it requires subjective judgment and comparison across different eras.
Here's an overview based on different metrics:

Most false statements counted
According to a tally by The Washington Post Fact Checker, Donald Trump made 30,573 false or misleading claims over his four years as president.
  • The team created a database to track false or misleading statements, and over the course of his presidency, the number of false claims increased year by year.
  • This quantity of falsehoods has been described by commentators and fact-checkers as unprecedented in American politics.

So when Republicans said Obamacare would force Americans to go before “death panels” who would decide whether they were worthy of receiving life-saving treatment that was the truth?  Remember the Republican claims of death panels?

The entire premise of Obamacare was built on a campaign of lies by Obama and the Democrats, as Obama paraded around the country spreading lie after lie. Hell, even the biased fact checkers had to admit it was the biggest lie of the year.

What were the most egregious lies about Obamacare compared to the lies Republicans told about Obamacare?  There were some ambitious promises initially that they weren’t able to keep thanks to Republicans and lobbyists but nothing that reaches the outrageous level of opposite-of-reality lies Republicans and Trump manufacture almost daily.

Obamacare allowed tens of millions of uninsured and underinsured Americans to obtain affordable, comprehensive coverage, and still to this day 15 years later Republicans haven’t been able to articulate a single alternative idea or rough concept of their own on how they would address the American unaffordable healthcare coverage problem.

Are you incapable of looking up that Obama told the lie of the year? Over and over and over again, to decieve the population and barely get the one vote needed to shove this down our throats.

So "affordable" the Democrats shut the government down for the most extended period in US history, crying about how unaffordable it was.

Had they focused more on those uninsured instead of screwing everyone else, maybe things would be better.

LIke I said.  It's only important when it's the other team lying. Democrat (cultists) rarely, if ever call out the politicians on their side of the aisle. Lefties love calling MAGA a cult while they themselves are cultists to a ideology.  Truth.

I pay little mind to it all as I have been around long enough to hear all the nonsense from the likes of the Clinton's, Biden's, and Obama's, and Trump.

modern "conservatives" will stand there in the rain, and Trump will look them in the eye and tell them it's not raining, and they'll just swallow what's left of their dignity and nod along.

They also think every single thing a lefty says is a promise they can take to the bank.

As I often say they're probably scarred for life once they find out Santa is just fiction. They really take this loss of innocence personally.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,

The ONLY Lie which was CLAIMED for Obama was "you could keep your doctor."

The FACT is that was NOT a LIE because NO ONE FORCED you to change doctors.

It was the doctor's decision whether to accept ACA coverage and some didn't.

You don't know the meaning of "cultist." The FACT is, a CULT would have never thrown Biden under the bus, but Democrats DID. Duh

And yet you STILL reject the 10's of thousands of documented LIES by Trump with NO SUCH EVIDENCE against ANY Democrat.

You're probably only watching FOS LIES who will never tell you when Trump LIES which is CONSTANTLY. AKA every time he opens his mouth.

Obamacare might not have been able to achieve all of its initial promises thanks to resistance from Republicans and industry but it wasn’t the absurd lying we see from republicans.

Tellingly it’s actually Republicans who want “death panels” for women in need of lifesaving abortions, but I digress….

Well it depends on how much you wanted to find things. Without a doubt some people are denied care. Does that mean it's a "death panel"? I guess if you wanted to find it that way maybe. Some people think math is racist.

Well technically you could make an argument it's true depending on how you define things I think most people would call it a stretch of at least. That's really not what we're talking about here

Let's use Obamacare as an example. Obama swore up and down you wouldn't have to give up your doctor. Turns out you had to give up your doctor. But was that a deliberate lie on his part, or did things just turn out a little differently in the end that he want it? I think he knew that that was going to be a likely outcome and he was being dishonest but that's not quite the same thing as out and out lying.

Politicians stretch things and they spend things and I think we all accept that that's part of the game. But sometimes they go too far and it becomes a lie. And sometimes they deliberately lie with the intent of defrauding or misleading the public for an agenda and that's when it gets to be serious and frankly I don't find trump to be any worse than Obama or Biden

It was so much a lie that it was declared to be the lie of the year. He and Democrats said it over and over again to deceive the American public.

Carl Bernstein was a lead reporter for The Washington Post, alongside Bob Woodward, who broke the Watergate scandal story, a role that ultimately led to President Richard Nixon's resignation. He and Woodward's persistent investigative reporting, supported by a confidential source known as "Deep Throat", uncovered links between the initial break-in and the Nixon administration. Their work earned a Pulitzer Prize and became the basis for the best-selling book, All the President's Men.
  • Initial investigation: Bernstein was assigned to cover the break-in at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate Hotel.
  • Rigorous reporting: He and Woodward conducted extensive interviews, built deep background sources, and cross-referenced information to connect the burglars to the Committee to Re-elect the President (CRP).
  • Collaboration with Woodward: Bernstein and Woodward worked closely, sharing their findings and verifying leads, which enhanced the credibility of their reporting.
  • Key role of "Deep Throat": They received crucial information from a confidential source, identified decades later as FBI Associate Director Mark Felt.
  • Impact: Their series of stories exposed the White House's involvement, leading to numerous investigations, the resignation of President Nixon, and a Pulitzer Prize for The Washington Post.
  • Legacy: Bernstein and Woodward later documented their work in the book All the President's Men, which is considered a landmark in investigative journalism.

I’d like to preface my remarks to state that everything Trump says is a lie. Literally everything. You need to understand his psychology. He must construct reality to erase any threat to his own ego-annihilation.

His over-the-top lawlessness? Totally rooted in his own collapsing psychology.

It’s especially in danger now, with the Epstein thing. For years, Trump’s base, incited by him and his sycophants, have screamed out false accusations of child trafficking and sexual abuse aimed at Hilary Clinton and the Democrats. A whole hoax-mythology grew around it. Remember Pizzagate? Remember QAnon? Totally interwoven with the MAGA belief system.

Trump was hailed as the savior against “deviant pedophile Democrats.” It was the glue that kept the cult on board. But now what, now that it is apparent that it is Trump who was closely associated with Epstein?

… the same neuropsychological mechanisms that tie Trump’s base to him—that cause his followers to mirror his emotions rather than evaluate his claims—are the same mechanisms that spell his ultimate destruction—and he knows it.

Why do you think he says, “Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap.” (of the Epstein “hoax”)

It’s existential for him.
