We surrendered a long time ago, back in 2015 when we elected sock boy....we have been waiting for someone just to put us out of our misery....

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

You remind me of that depressed fatalistic robot from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

Has Trump economic and rhetorical bullying of Canada made you all wanting to surrender yet? Has Canadians decided they’d rather be actual Americans or remain destitute?

No, it'll take a lot more than Trump to make Canadians feel like surrendering - if anything he only inspires resistance.

I said now watch what you say they'll be calling you a radical,
a liberal, oh fanatical criminal

Well you see the trick is to pull your head out of the sand every once in a while....

All it is going to take is 10 more years of liberal governance, and someone will be able to buy Canada for a ty domi rookie card...and 10 Mexican pesos.

It’s insane how Canadians would rather become a third world than be Americans. Tax free access to the world largest consumer markets, guaranteed food security, have the financial benefit of a world currency reserves and protection by the greatest fighting force the world has ever seen! Nope, Canadians would rather be poor and still get absorbed later at a heavily discounted Zimbabwe price anyways… I see why Trump elected Governor Carney.

Has Ukraine surrendered to Trump's hero, the Russian Rectum Trump aspires to be? Backroom talks continue about Alaska, Maine and other states becoming provinces. So jealous of Canada!

Ha! I knew it. You do want to be integrated into the North American empire. I’ve always known Canadian pride wouldn’t lend it self on admitting to it. You rather we all join “Canada”.

Akin to what Trump is saying about Ukraine .......... except it's Russia.

Canada has never had to fight for it's sovereignty - we had GB and they basically decided that until late 20th century.

With a bit of luck, Trump’s many other problems will prevent him focusing on us.

Unlikely. With America disinterest overseas, more, not less scrutiny will be placed on our relationship with Canada and Mexico. The days of free riding American goodwill is over Canada. This is not a Trump issue, this will be the tone moving forward.

In 10 more years of this I doubt anyone would buy Canada for any money. We're already at a unique fixer-Upper opportunity, by then I figure we're going to be condemned

USA isn't the greatest country on the planet. Sorry to burst your bubble.

As far as democracy goes even Canada has you beat badly.

How about just general happiness? Nope not even close. And canada has  you beat there too and WE'RE not even number one.

Happiest Countries in the World 2025

Health? Nope.  Canada has you beat there as well by a mile, and once again we're not number one

The Best Healthcare in the World in 2026: Country Rankings

Crime? Got ya beat.

Sorry kiddo.  But becoming part of the USA would mean being sicker, sadder, less free and democratic, and living with more crime.

THe usa would be a serious downgrade for us :)
