You post the most embarrassing example of a US President's UN speech ever as something to gloat about?
No, dimwit, it's your country that's gone to Hell. You should be ashamed if you even knew what that is.

Well, that's not the definition of a globalist but to the comment....   Your orange idol and his family have financial ties overseas.  Is he therefore a globalist?

No he is a populist with financial ties overseas. Two things can be true.

Ahhhh.... doesn't apply to him, just everyone else.  Got it.

It's not a good or bad thing in a traditional sense. It's just the reality of geopolitics.

So explain then how Trump is right and other persons with financial ties outside their country are wrong.

The main difference with Trump compared to previous administration is that he is willing to use American pre-eminence to force a renegotiation of the global order. The requirement being build in America give Americans jobs in exchange for American protection and allowance to ship a portion of the profit overseas. I would call it a new version of globalism.

Seems to be working just fine with the US trade deficit increasing $18B in July to $78B.

If we are talking foreign ties in Canada, then who is more globalist than the likes of Facebook and Google?

Who are the globalists exactly?

"someone who believes that economic and foreign policy should be planned in an international way, rather than according to what is best for one particular country"

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/english/globalist

Thus Trump is not a "globalist". In fact he's a "nationalist".

Globalists will outsource work to places with lower labor costs, while nationalists will employ local talent. Globalism raped North American and Western Europe of manufacturing and many other industries...like IT.

Call most help lines and you get an Indian who hardly speaks English. Your phones, your cloths, pretty much anything you purchase at Wallymart...or Crappy Tire...not made in our part of the world by our people. Hundreds of thousands...maybe millions of good jobs...gone.

Anyone who supports this is a traitor to their own nations and people.

This is pretty scrambled up...

What does that mean "policy should be planned in an INTERNATIONAL WAY" ?
And policy makers don't outsource work - firms do.
Are Globalists specific to government, industry or both ?

And Globalization was a huge boon to US corporations - are they traitors ?

I'm just trying to pin the tail on the donkey here.

Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !

You've lost all credibility Mike.

Go back to your filth-infected buddies.

You know... I asked a bunch of honest questions, which is what a forum is for.
You came back with 3 insults then said that *I* had lost credibility somehow.

Care to try again, or ...

Facebook and Google are as international as any companies in the world. They have destroyed our local media, systematically violated our privacy, enabled scams on a mass scale and affected our kids’ behaviour in all sorts of ways. In no way are they friends of our country. They’re the globalists I’m most concerned about.

I was and was ridiculed as well. But I saw what this was and what it was gonna lead to.

Now ask yourself...why did the establishment turn so violently on Trump? Because he's a cad? Hardly. Slick Willy was the Gawd of cad and he didn't face this sort of hatred. No...it's because Trump openly opposed the Globalist agenda. "Make America Great Again" was a huge threat to that agenda. We're the world's largest consumer market to reject Globalism, the agenda was doomed.

You wonder why so many would support such a man as Trump.

Welcome to "why".

No, it's because they're stupid and stoned out of their minds on conspiracy gas. They can't even differentiate between globalism and globalization.

The establishment regards Trump as a loon - a fùcking morón Rex Tillerson called him.

I think globalists were actually making some headway at mediating the rapaciousness that attends laissez-faire globalization.

At the end of the day a one world government overseeing a one world economy just makes logical sense.

As I see we'd only have one government to keep an eye on instead of nearly 200, most of which act as if they should be  allowed to do whatever they like.

Like laissez-faire again but with nuclear bombs, drones, AI and where at least half the human population is stoned out of their minds on ideology and or religion and often both.
