These were people who came to the US and then committed crimes before they even became citizens. How about don't get caught dealing drugs when you're not even a citizen yet?

FYI you don't get allowed into the country to "maybe deal a bit of drugs". They let you in based on the presumption that you'll be an upstanding citizen and contribute to the economy and your community.
