Understanding is not one your strong points. The question deserves a one word answer.

Spine.

So once again.... you got nothing do you.

If you thought about it, which understood thinking is a challenge for you, it's certainly appears he does have a spine by not bowing to whatever it is Trump's after and both now saying a deal is unlikely.   But again, this involves common sense thinking....

He's on everything trump has asked him to do so far and will now be paying even higher tariffs without retaliation.

How dumb do you have to be to think letting the high school bully beat you up and then turn over your lunch money is somehow having spine?

Maybe read westcanfools two copy/pastes and tell me what that had/has to do with Carney.

Reminder, other than DST still waiting to hear 'all those things' that Carney has 'caved on'.

Stupid little man....

You're pulling the simple minded minion needs to get out of convo act so quickly?

My lack of understanding.....  For asking you a question that you haven't, and probably can't answer.

Seriously, that's funny!  😂

What part of "spine " do you not understand. Also I'll bet you don't even understand your own first sentence.

Cue the puerile name calling.

Do you carry a thesaurus with you, or are you just a social misfit in most circles?

I understand spine.  Why don't you answer the question....

I gave you a long list. TWICE.

So is this your thing? When you're presented with facts you just ignore them and then demand the facts again and again and again?

I mean it's not like we expected anything intelligent from you but this just childish

Tell you what, why don't you tell me where he didn't cave. Name the things that trump demanded from him and he has said no. We know he caved on the dST we know he caved on the spending for the military we know we caved on taking off the reciprocal tariffs and a few other things, what didn't he cave on?

So Trump just put another 20% tax on Americans.

The theory is that once the money starts rolling in from the tariffs, income taxes can go down.

And TBH, if tariffs do amount to a form of taxation, along with sales tax, it's a pretty fair form of tax...

A drug dealer, prostitute, or anyone else with untaxed income pays just as much money for things as any taxpayer does, so instead of people paying income tax being on the hook for all the gov't's income, the bill is spread out according to who bought the most stuff.

If the Cultist Narrative Network/Cultist Broadcasting Corporation gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

The problem is going to run into is that that theory has never panned out except for very specific highly targeted industries of circumstances for short periods of time

.When you try to apply it broadly what tends to happen is it becomes an anchor on the economy just like any tax. Taxes tend to slow down the economy and as a result you wind up bringing it less tax incorporate or income tax because there's less earnings.

The second argument is that consumption taxes such as the GST are a more fair tax than income tax. This has been argued in the past and you can make that argument, but it's also hardest on the middle class and lower income. People just barely getting by also have to pay the tax and they can least afford it. So it tends to negatively impact upward mobility and the middle class tends to get smaller or weaker.

We'll see. It's a very delicate balancing act to make this pay off at all, and we probably won't see the real impacts until very late this year and possibly next year.  The tariff dates have been juggled so much. But at some point either the economy will begin to over perform (sign that it worked) or underperform (sign it didn't)

Wondering if tariffs on potash to the US is an option?

Why? Just so that Trump can call the carney to the WH, make him stand in the corner for a while, and then cancel it?

Canada is a shadow of its 2014 self.

All that we have done since that point is go downhill in every way imaginable.

The DST was rescinded, yes.  The military spend is an overdue responsibility we haven't honoured and further commitment to NATO.  We've discussed that...

What 'taking off the reciprocal tariffs' are you talking about?

Fair enough, it is true that no actual deal has been signed. But it is also true that they have worked out the framework and that that's what they're going to be taxed based on until the final deal is worked out

We don't even have that. As of right now starting tomorrow we will pay massive amounts of new tariffs that will not apply to these people who have announceables as you put it.

Our first quarter this year saw negative growth. If these tariffs are in place for much of the second quarter we will be in an official recession and it will be the liberals who have put us there

Yeah and you lied about it entirely. The reason we're paying it is because trump insisted on it. Then they opted to 5% and we agreed that too because true trump persisted upon it

Don't get yourself kiddo, that's us caving to trump's wishes. Trump told them they had to, they did.  We've gone a decade not meeting that commitment, we did right now because of trump.

Quote

What 'taking off the reciprocal tariffs' are you talking about?

Oh my god read a paper.

We had reciprocal tariffs in place against the united states. After trump's phone call with carney during the election Carney put in a massive number of restrictions and exemptions such that almost all of our reciprocal tariffs were taken off the table. This was done quietly and out of the attention of the media at the time

Carney dropped most American tariffs day after Trump meeting | Toronto Sun

Trump says 'drop it', and carney does.

Quote

What are these 'few other things'?

A bunch of things like when ford was going to put tariffs on electricity and trump got mad, carney called ford and told him to take them off immediately.  And he did.  There were other things as well.

Now, You answer my question first before i bother with any more of yours

I asked you a simple question, I've answered your question several times now and I see that you didn't even have the balls to try and answer mine. Mine was simple, when has he ever not caved to something trump wanted?
