I hope it does, for whom the bell toll? It tolls for thee.

Well if it does, your debt will become a huge problem for you. Far larger than it is now.

Trump's plan is to grow out of debt. Through generous tax cut and incentives and removing bureaucratic red tape. We're the only country that can still support a consumption lead growth model. Everyone else is demographically doomed.

Ya, that's always what they tell you to justify tax cuts for the most wealthy. Some people never learn. You are supporting your consumption on borrowed money.

Israel is the closes case study, they came from a long standing socialist system into a more business friendly one under the early 2000 reform.

The tax cuts are across the board rate cuts that the vast majority of tax payers benefit from.

There is simply too much ignorance in this thread to fix.

You Canadians have been involved in numerous wars and rebellions before you became "Canada" and then more after that as you conquered any dissent or natives after you became Canada.

Disagree. Strongly.

We Canadians have been involved in too many wars abroad.

But amongst ourselves, we get along. We Canadians have a long history and despite our differences: French, English, Catholic, Protestant, we get along.

Feel free to send in more money voluntarily then. Oh... yeah, you won't do that.

Nothing to disagree with, it is just a historical fact.

No... not like the US, but look around, Canada is... Canada, not a bunch of various Indian tribes, that is as of a result of the various wars sponsored and backed by the colonial powers that created what is Canada today where Indians were in facts killed, displaced, and they are no longer...

That was a bar fight in Australia. The Metis rebellion wasn't much more in the eyes of a Yank.

Disagree.

We Canadians often hate each other. Indeed, we often hate each to the point of violence.

But then we get along.

If that were true then Quebec wouldn't want to leave.

We never get along. We fight constantly and occasionally tolerate each other. You're lying sack of crap

Unlike Lebanon, Sri Lanka, Ukraine/Russia, Europeans far too often, Americans in the 1860s, we Canadians never kill each other in our disagreements.

We absolutely have, many times. The mighty rebellion, I mentioned the Battle of Abraham, there were numerous conflicts that took place during the settlement. And I'm not even getting into things like the flq or their murders.

We do not get along, we occasionally tolerate each other. And frankly the place is so big we don't have to see each other much if we don't want to and that's the only thing that's prevented it from being worse

Mighty rebellion? 1837? Gimme a break.

=====

Curious, I looked further at the context of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham.

I discovered that the Seven Years War had two treaties.

The far more significant treaty was signed in a hunting lodge in Saxony - between Prussia and Austria.

Napoleon, like Hitler, once made a point of winning in the same place.

And somehow you manage to come up with something that even fewer people care about

The Treaty of Hubertusburg, signed in February 1763. It ended the Seven Years War between Prussia and Austria.

Nowadays, the Palace of Hubertusburg is in once was East Germany. It is under renovation.

Stanley Kubrick made a good movie.
