So if you actually cared about the environment, which you don't, you would be calling for more investment or efforts to be put into the development of technologies that would either capture carbon or allow for an economically viable end to energy production from carbon products. 

But you don't.  

Your attitude is that its FINE for them to actually PRODUCE the carbon and ruin the environment as long as we don't make money off of it. 

Is that because the environment is too omnibus for you?

No one is here blaming them for emissions, we did not start this thread to criticize them for their emissions, just pointing out that this thread was created to celebrate them for building some solar, making them climate change serious!

We buy what they produce.  The costs environmentally with their production is their choice.  That is NOT our fault. 

They want to sell goods. They want to produce the goods. The way that they produce them is the decision that they make. If they weren't producing the goods then someone else would have to and we'd be right back to the same situation.

Nobody can take you seriously when you want to pretend that the Chinese have absolutely no responsibility for or anything to do with the production of pollution in china. They decide their power sources, they decide their standards, not us.

Trying to make china's decisions. China has decided that environmental issues like climate change are not a top priority. They like to look like they're doing something because it keeps people like you happy but other than that they obviously don't care. If you want your argument to be true then you would have to also accept that they're downloading their requirements for coal to us and forcing us to produce coal to sell to them to make money therefore any coal that we harvest is their fault. Here are two giant solar fields in the Gobi desert to prove they exist near Ordos Inner Mongolia.

The one on the left is much larger than the previous pictured one which is on the right.

And unlike the one on the right, you can zoom in on it and see the detail which appears to be a ghostly outline in this from Google Maps.
