There was an argument but there doesn't need to be proof. Proof strengthens an argument but it is not necessary to make one. For example those last two sentences are an example of me making an argument even though I've provided no proof.

I'm telling you you can do a hell of a lot better, stop being so goddamn lazy like you've been in the last week or two and start making coherent arguments. You don't need to offer cites or proof every time but you do need to use logic and reason and not just say 'no' everytime someone says "yes".

You're the one calling for proof. I explicitly said that proof isn't necessary in all cases. Arguably it's not Really required in most cases. Opinion matters. What I'm saying is articulate your opinion rather than just saying nuh uh!

You can agree or disagree with that proposition and support your position.
