herbie Posted Monday at 09:05 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:05 PM Why listen to election interference from a lesser evil? 1 Quote
TreeBeard Posted Monday at 09:26 PM Report Posted Monday at 09:26 PM I would be in favour of a Royal Commission on election interference. A big part of that would be American money and political commentary attempting to interfere with Canadian elections. Quote

Are you using "election interference" in a more specific sense than its generic meaning or is this some kind of plea that this is nefarious and illegal? Quote

A Royal Commission could get to the bottom of what was nefarious and what wasn’t. Obviously, in past elections there was nefarious dealings from China. Let’s get it all out in the open. 28 minutes ago, Nationalist said: More desperation... Why is Trump so desperate do you think? 1 Quote

He wants the island at its eastern entrance and Canada. Can he have either? Meh...he might be able to buy Greenland. I seriously doubt he can buy Canada. He may make a military deal with us giving America ice breaking and patrolling rights/obligations for cheap passage rights. That northern passage is going to become huge in the coming decade and Canada needs to figure out a way to hang onto it. Quote Its so lonely in m'saddle since m'horse died.

herbie Posted Tuesday at 12:08 AM Author Report Posted Tuesday at 12:08 AM To suckups who believe the only path forward is to be 'more American' any interference by the USA is inconceivable, even when it's as in your face as Trump's is. No point arguing with rocks. Quote

What motivates and drives them? Even in this day where all information is at the fingertips? Seriously, why? Who can tell? Who decides where the boundaries go? An independent electoral boundaries commission is created for each province, for a total of 10 commissions. The commissions use demographic data from Statistics Canada and spatial data from Natural Resources Canada to determine if the boundaries need to be changed.
