FYI the civil rights act of 1964 got more support from the GOP than it did from the Dems.

Try to find another example of a party bringing a bill out to be voted on, and getting more support from the opposition than from their own party... In any country. Ever. I'll wait.

Yes, when the GOP was the anti segregation party, Lincoln’s party.
Did you even bother to read the thing or look up the history of how the parties switched places in the south. Of course not.

You mean the bill that Kennedy sent to Congress and LBJ whipped through?

Meanwhile, Strom Thurmond and the hardcore racist Dixiecrats had to find a new, more comfortable home in the Republican party. Which brings us to today, with white supremacists dining with the President and Harriet Tubman being scrubbed from the underground railroad site.

There's never been a greater need for a party to pretend to have distanced themselves from their terrible past than the Dems have in the 21st century.

FYI no one assumed the role of "racists and slavers" when the Dems were trying to polish their turd of a reputation. That's pure fiction.

The Dems were slavers back when they formed the KKK and now they bring illegals in to do the same jobs, just with a different name.

And like I said, you still can't find an other example of a party's bill getting more support from the other side than their own. The Civil Rights bill can basically be thought of as a Republican bill.

The longest-serving Senator the Dems had was KKK grand-cyclops Robert Byrd, Democrat. He was a friend of Joe Biden and mentor to Hillary Clinton. Biden, Obama and Bill Clinton all eulogized him.

And here's a CLASSIC example of fake alt-left "fact checkers" work... They frame the question that they're fact'checking in the most illegitimate way possible, just so that they can shoehorn a "partly false" into it.

From the Reuters disinformation factory

Fact check: Robert Byrd, eulogized by Joe Biden at funeral, was not KKK Grand Wizard

Oh look, it's official, so what was he? I guess he was never in the kkk? Here's the first paragraph of that "article" or whatever you ring-bit lickers wanna call it:

  • Social media users have been sharing content online that claims Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden eulogized Robert Byrd, asserting he was the grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). This claim is partly false. Though various prominent politicians eulogized Byrd at his funeral, the senator was never the grand wizard of the KKK and he has acknowledged and apologized for his membership during his youth.

So:

  1. he was never a grand wizard and
  2. he was only a member in his youth...

More from Reuters..

  • Examples can be seen  here  and  here; .
One post reads: “When he died in 2010, former-KKK Grand Wizard Robert Byrd was eulogized by Joe Biden. Go ahead Facebook fact-checkers. Verify this. I DARE YOU!”
Reuters Fact Check has previously debunked claims relating Byrd and his relation to the KKK, which can be seen  here; and  here  .
Robert Byrd served as U.S. Representative for the state of West Virginia from 1953 to 1959, and as a U.S. Senator from 1959, until his death in 2010 (  here  )
Still no mention of him being a grand wizard, I guess it never happened...
  • Biden did deliver a eulogy for Byrd on July 2, 2010. A video of the speech can be found  here; and a transcript can be found here  here; .
Other prominent political leaders such as President Barack Obama and President Bill Clinton also spoke at the funeral. ( here; )
The grand wizard is widely understood to be the highest leadership position of the KKK. According to Encyclopedia Britannica, was followed by “a descending hierarchy of grand dragons, grand titans, and grand cyclopses.” ( here )
Roland G. Fryer Jr., professor of economics at Harvard University, and Steven D. Levitt, professor of economics at the University of Chicago, explain the KKK membership roles in a 2011 paper called “Hatred and Profits: Under the Hood of the Ku Klux Klan” (see starting from page 11   here  ).
Is anyone still reading? Doubtful. Must have never been a grand wizard after all...
  • They say that the highest level within the organization is “the empire” and the grand wizard (or emperor) is the ultimate leader of the group. Exalted cyclopses preside over local groups and organize activities such as monthly meetings. The structure can be seen on page 45  here  .
Byrd was not a grand wizard of the Klan. He was, however, a former organizer and member of the KKK. A Washington Post article reviewing Byrd’s memoir explains these years in more detail (  here  ).
Still not a grand wizard. *yawn*
  • In the early 1940s, Byrd recruited 150 people in West Virginia to form a chapter of the KKK. Joel L. Baskin, the grand dragon of the mid-Atlantic region, arrived to organize the chapter. Baskin was impressed with Byrd’s skills and encouraged him to get involved in politics. Byrd was unanimously named “exalted cyclops”, which meant that Byrd was the top officer in the local klan. The responsibilities for this role included leading meetings and initiating incoming members ( here; ).
Wait, what? Grand Cyclops? He was a mere Grand Cyclops? Man, whoever called him a grand wizard was a real dummy, hey?
Talk about a distinction without a difference 😂

Verdict:

Fact check: Robert Byrd, eulogized by Joe Biden at funeral, was a KKK Grand Cyclops in his 20s and 30s, and he was elected to public office as a Democrat, while he was still a high-profile member of the KKK

One more thing, the first paragraph in Reuters' whitewashing ended with:

  • "he has acknowledged and apologized for his membership during his youth"

Is this his "youth"...? From wiki:

He was born in 1917. He 24 years old when he started a whole KKK clan himself. He was over 30 when he theoretically left.

Are your 30s really considered your "youth"? Were you too dumb to know better than to be out lynching people at 30?

Byrd was a member of the Dems when the Dems started re-working their scheme from open slavery to:

  • mass-incarceration slavery
  • illegal immigration semi-slavery
  • creating and fostering racial division instead of openly being racist

I think it would be unrealistic to think there are no racists in the Democratic party but this is just a deflection from how the South ditched the Democrats for the Republicans.

I think it's ridiculous to ignore the fact that the G Floyd and M Brown riots were entirely instigated by Democrats, and that they still fanned the flames for months/years after they knew the [narratives surrounding the] incidents that they resulted from were bogus.

So why were two of the cops responsible for Floyd’s death sent to prison?

In Browns case the police chief resigned, the officer involved resigned with no severance and will never be a police officer again and the city paid out 1.5 million in damages.

Because there were 3 months of riots, plus several murders, and an innocent verdict would have caused even more violence and chaos.

Bear in mind that the day the footage of Floyd's whole arrest was LEAKED, the riots ended.

Keith Ellison, Minn's Demi AG, could have released those videos 3 months earlier, but he kept them locked away while a completely false narrative was being pushed by CNN and the Dems.
