Oh I agree that the Czar thing is hoaky. But I have no confidence that Pixie-Dust would do anything about crime, drugs or the border without someone threatening him with a big stick. The guy is an imbecile.

He isn't doing anything now. He's committing to do stuff in the future when he won't be here. I haven't heard about any new agreements being Signed or parliament voting on anything.

We'll see. But honestly I think the real fireworks are about to begin

I don't disagree with any of that.

Isn't that supposing that we somehow didn't know that already?  Trudeau had already committed something like $1.5-2B on that in December.  These "concessions" will fall in under that umbrella, and a fentanyl tsar is just a cheesy symbolic gesture.

Me too, but I wouldn't hold your breath on US gun enforcement under a Republican President.  Whatever happens on that file will be for our border services to figure out.

And here i thought you said we don't know what trump wants...look at you doing some research....

And it is only 1.38 that Justin said he would approve in December....a couple days ago he told Trump he would commit another 200 mil to a joint drug Intel program, and a little more...

Justins commitment is just words, that mean nothing right now..... he needs parliamentary approval to expend public funds, and since we are prorogued that can't happen , it's just justin blowing in the wind....and he knows if he recalls parliament, the NDP will bring the parliament down, (if they have not worked out a deal)... and he is not going to risk that....

I still don't, and neither do you, otherwise you'd have spelled it out.

In your imagination?  Drop a link to one of these instances, rather than limply insisting on it over and over!  🤡🤡

Yeah that's how this works.  You make a claim you can't support, and then I'm supposed to research it!

For someone complaining about getting in fights and trolling, it's funny how you keep running back to this.  Like the dumb goldfish, you just can't help biting, I guess?

It still contributes to the almost 100,000 americans that are killed by it every single year....and while Canada contribution is only 1 % of that total it is growing exponentially every year....that 1 % represents 1000 deaths, is that an insufficient number to you...how big does it need to get before the US needs to take action....

20 times more fentanyl crossed the border from the US to Canada last year, how many deaths is that?

You guys can't have it both ways here first you complain that it is US border security that allowed fentanyl to cross the border from Canada....Now you say its the US fault for fentanyl getting into Canada....

When Canada is only checking 1 % of all containers and trucks that enter our Nation....How in the blue blazes is that the US fault...If anything it is the US policing that sucks for not preventing this criminal behavior before it gets to Canada, same as on our side lack of policing on our part, along with a lack of border security....

Considering there has only been 10,000 deaths from fentanyl here in Canada since 2016, i would say 2000 or 20% if my math is right...since 2016 or about 220 per year....and ours imports are  1 % of 100,000 American deaths per year  = 1000 american deaths  per year....I hope my math is right , but the numbers say it all...
