The Thrill Is Gone: Joy Reid Loses Half Her Audience After Election - and We All Know Why – RedState

MSNBC’s Joy Reid, one of the most prominent race hustlers in America, has seen a dramatic decline in viewership since the conclusion of the 2024 presidential race, losing almost half her audience.

Reid’s show, “The ReidOut,” plummeted from an average of 1.4 million viewers to 759,000, according to the latest statistics from Nielsen Media Research. This represents a staggering 47 percent decline.

The network's primetime lineup has lost a whopping 53% in total viewers, averaging at 621,000, and an astonishing 61% of viewers in the key demo, averaging 57,000.

MSNBC's biggest star, Rachel Maddow, who is only on-air Mondays, went from averaging 2.4 million total viewers leading up to the election to averaging just 1.4 million, a 43% drop.

People are fleeing the woke by the bus full. They've had enough. We may be seeing a fundamental change in America and the end of the woke era.

The real reason why is part of them are the election is over and they don't care anymore

A large group of them are those that hate watch them and the election is over and the don't care anymore.

Well they've held those ratings for a couple of years. That was before the election started.

The shows deal with an awful lot more than just election issues or politics. There's no doubt that the election being over plays a role in everybody turning out news and opinion shows to a degree but nobody else is seeing their viewership dropped to half

Of course I could never watch Joy Reid, the brief clips I see of her are nauseating enough. How the hell could they put someone as despicable as this on the air?

I have heard musk is considering buying it. That'd be pretty hilarious :)

I would love that.

He could keep Reid on as the host of a 30 minute show on Saturday mornings. The show could be called the WokeOut.

And make it a pure fact-based news outlet? Yup, that would be hilarious.

He'd lose three quarters of his viewership overnight that he did that. Not because they stopped watching, I think they would just shrivel up and die.

At least it would be real news.

What's hilarious is that you believe FOS LIES is "fact based" and MSNBC isn't.

What a dupe you are.

If Musk does buy MSNBC, maybe he'll put Carlson on it every evening...just for you.

Musk would turn MSNBC into a sewer of stormtrooper propaganda, just like he did X.

For some really strange reason, you LIKE SEWERS of right wing conspiracy theories and are titillated by the prospect of democracy being destroyed. 🤮

You can still watch Joy Reid, dummy. Her show isn't off the air, just half as many people are buying into her hate-mongering now.

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

Fox is fact-based id10t. That's why people watch it, and they admit to watching it.

You won't even admit to watching CNN or MSNBC because you know that you'll be humiliated. You have to pretend to get your insipid drivel from tea leaves and babbling drunks on the street-corner.

@robosmith Do you have any examples of X actively blocking the truth, like they routinely did when they were Twitter?

Do you have any examples of when X gave people temporary bans or shadow bans for telling the truth? No?

So, in other words, X has improved by orders of magnitude, but you're upset because you liked it when the truth was banned from social media, didn't you, robotard?

in his mind allowing people to say things he doesn't like is the same as blocking the truth

Funny that leftards don't think it's a big deal when their MSM and social media minions actively censor the truth.

I can just see the line up now:

Bill O'Reilly at 6 ET

Tucker Carlson at 7

Glen Beck at 8

And then on weekends they have Charlie Kirk, Dan Bongino, and Ben Shapiro.

Oh...and Madcow on the 2 am slot with Carrot Top.

Did The Trump Meeting Really Tank Morning Joe’s Ratings?

Quote

MSNBC has been grabbing headlines in recent weeks for all the wrong reasons as ratings declines, news of a spinoff, and the hosts of Morning Joe meeting with Donald Trump drove a media narrative that the network’s in trouble. But, is the doom and gloom about Morning Joe really warranted? The liberal network would tell you it’s on track for its highest-rated year since 2021 and so far is up in both total viewers and in the key 25-54 age demographic for the 4th quarter – compared to last year. MSNBC has also extended its winning streak over CNN, which used to be the primary home for major news events.

But it is also undeniable that after Trump’s win in the presidential election viewers have been tuning out. After the election, MSNBC was down some 47% in total viewers and CNN was down 33%. In prime time, MSNBC lost 52% of its viewers, while CNN dropped 39% of its prime time audience as viewers tuned out. That’s not particularly surprising; viewers have a reliable tendency to turn off the television when their preferred candidate loses an election. They also have a reliable tendency to turn it back on when the new administration gets underway. We’ll see if that happens this time around.

And the talk about a spinoff is primarily due to Trump THREATENING NBC over coverage on MSNBC.

Separating the CABLE networks insulates the broadcast networks from Trump's childish tantrums.

Oh. This is interesting, robo.

So...MSNBC had 10 viewers in the 4th quarter?

It would be awesome if Musk just let her have her show, and keep doing her rants, then he just runs a show an hour later that fact checks it all, points out all of the racism, then sends her down to HR to be publicly humiliated 😎
