Tldr: Whoopi had an assistant call to get her some birthday treat for her birthday. The bakery said they couldn't. Whoopi had another assistant try again. This assistant didn't use Whoopi's name and this time they could help. Turns out a boiler was out and they didnt want to take orders until they knew they could fill them. Whoopi goes on TV and claims the bakery (without naming them but it was easy to figure out whonit was) discriminated against her. She even doubled down after the explanation came out. Lots of people in my milieu are banned from Uber, airbnb, have bank accounts frozen, payment processers removed, etc. Quote
