I think he lost it with the lie that he was in Tiananmen Square

Of course, in this lie about his lie he lied about Trump praising China on COVID. It was a complete meltdown and probably the worst moment in a VP debate since 92.

  8. If all else fails, just be angry.

I have to give Walz credit though. I think he was willing to debate without making his opponent out to be Hitler. Same goes for Vance. It seemed like they were both able to display some understanding for the other's viewpoints. I think Walz looked much weaker though. He seemed very nervous.

This is a good point. Walz was pretty civil for the most part.

The debate would've been a lot more fun if it were Vance and Harris. The mods would've been turning off Vance's mic and calling the police. lol

Vance clearly lost when he damningly wouldn't answer the question about whether he would uphold democracy and the constitution like Mike Pence did. But I guess he's scared Trump would try to have him hanged too.

To be exact, he was losing the debate at every moment, but this particular moment really stands out.

Tim Walz: I've become friends with school shooters.

This is what i'm hearing the most, that line is being repeated a milliion times right now and it makes him look like a kook.

I could be wrong, but it sounded like he may have misspoke. He probably meant to say he had become friends of the families of the victims of school shooters.

He obviously misspoke. It's just an extraordinary gaffe.

I Assume it's something like that, i'm quite prepared to believe he hasn't ACTUALLY been making friends with shooters but it's still just the wrong thing to say in a debate. It's the equivalent of when that fly landed on Pence's head and that's all anybody could talk about afterwards :)

As a Canadian, I largely disagree.

With what. Or just in general?

Tim Walz would be a wonderful neighbour, decent guy.

If you're a school shooter. Apparently :)

And that guy Vance - also good.

Probably knows how to work a barbeque.

I don't disagree. I don't agree with him on much, but he seems nice enough. He also looked like a bug-eyed, lost, little boy. Not a leader.

That doesn't even raise his weirdness factor.
