there is a reason why they're putting in specific and detailed clauses about controlling the output of animal products (rather than just 'food') and why they're putting in specific clauses about "promoting" animal proteins.  Can you name ANY OTHER country anywhere that has "promotion of animal protiens" as part of its emergency planning?

Right, so we point out a legitimate concern and rather than actually address it it's now somehow our fault that the liberals are proposing this

Let me start by pointing out that the combined intellectual strength of the entire Little Turd cabinet could even read and understand this bill - nor do I see much from the other side of the floor that could do much better.   I strongly suspect and suggest this is coming from VIDO / CFIA who are the government bureaucracy that does a FANTASTIC job of making our food supply in Canada truly safe.  This will go back to the BSE outbreak where US feed infected Canadian herds - that the US could deny because they simply didn't look for it.

I am well known to enjoy attacking the incredible amount of waste and incompetence in government and a certain party now in power, but this is NOT a bill that I can see some agenda buried in....except to provide a mechanism for a critical agency to be able to do their job in an emergency situation with effect.
