BC is no stranger to mudslides and rock slides. Hurricanes and tornadoes tend to cause more damage on a larger scale overall but absolutely nothing beats the sheer incredible destructive power of earth water and rock saying "hold my beer, i'm comin' through!"   Truly frightening.

I think you're mixing up a few different concepts .

First off it's actually 'survival of the most fit', it's just misquoted. Which means those who ADAPT the best survive. The concept has nothing to do with rising to the top 

The various hierarchy models of human or animal interactions say that our species and most others operate on a hierarchal basis where those who are good at things that are valuable will rise to the top of their hierarchy's.

That's not a thing.  In a capitalist society it's almost impossible for the rich to get richer without creating opportunity around them.  

There's not a 'finite' amount of 'wealth'.  It's not like it's some sort of mineral that gets mined, like 'wealthonium' or something. One person getting wealthy does not in any way impede someone else's ability to make money, if anything it enhances it. 

The number one reason people aren't well off financially is not other people getting rich (in fact a huge percent of the wealthy come from low to middle class upbringing), its Education and training. 

What kills lower and middle class people is not rich people 'gaming the system', it's higher taxes and higher inflation which comes from govt' spending and interference for the most part. 

Jeff bozos making billions does NOT in any way hinder you from making good money. Bill gates making billions does not prevent you from being fiscally independent. 

It's that simple.
