LOL you won't answer the question because you know he actually served as a CSM and that, contrary to what those two dipshits said in their letter, that service does not magically disappear with a retrospective administrative demotion. But you can't say that because then "he lied about being a CSM" ceases to be a viable attack (not that it's much of one anyway).

They didn't say it magically disappeared. Neither did I. The argument has been and continues to be that it was conditional, he failed to meet the conditions. Thus he was demoted and only retired as an E-8.

That isn't what the claim is that he lied about. The lie is that he said he retired as a CSM, he did not, it is that he brags on being a CSM AFTER knowing he was demoted because he never fulfilled the obligations.

The timeline is clear: Walz submitted his Guard retirement papers in May 2005. The unit’s first call-up notice came in July 2005, and the regiment deployed in March 2006.

Proof was provided by two CSM's who did serve in the same unit in the National Guard and retired too... so no, it is not just a bunch of keyboard warriors. 

I also served in the military as well. 

Of course you are a coward hiding from me, so you don't see any of this. 

If YOU had any time in the service, you would know other service members find this kind of crap misleading at best, and dishonest to represent yourself as something you never actually earned.

Rumors of deployments come before official orders. When I deployed to Iraq, my unit first asked if I wanted to go, then months later after knowing there was a slot for me and asking, I finally got official orders. 

Same thing happened when I volunteered for Afghanistan twice. Both times I was told I was going and then months later when they realized they already had the slots filled and didn't need me, the official orders never came. 

This is a dishonest game being played by folks acting like you don't know you are being deployed or could be until the official orders come.

They literally said "if the conditions aren't met, the promotion is null and void, like it never happened." Except the time he spent serving as CSM did happen and he wasn't demoted until after he retired.

His rank when he retired was CSM. He was demoted after he put in his papers to retire (there's that pesky linear passage of time again!). The distinction between the rank he held when he put in his papers and the rank it says on his benefits package is one that matters only to Walz and the Army and the fact you people are trying to pretend this administrative demotion means a guy with 20+ years of service is "stealing valor" demonstrates your desperation for material.
