If you couldn't lie, you couldn't be a leftist in today's political climate. Period.

Eg, if multi-vaxed people almost never died of covid, and there weren't previously healthy people killed or grievously injured by the vax, I wouldn't spend shouting people down for saying it worked. That would be crazy in my opinion. There wouldn't be a 40-page thread full of name-calling and lies, or if there was, I wouldn't be on the lying side of it. There just wouldn't be an anti-jab thread at all.

Also, if there was a highly publicized FBI investigation of Barack Obama and it wasn't yielding results, and the FBI were found to be committing crimes there, I'd be sickened by that. I wouldn't pretend that the FBI's crimes didn't matter. and just move on to other topics.

As far as riots are concerned, I think that Jan 6th was wrong, and I commend Trump for going on Twitter 3x in 3 hrs to tell those people to stop. By contrast, leftists cheered on violent, destructive riots which were based on false narratives for 4 years between 2014 and 2021, their politicians incited and fully supported those riots, and in 4 full years they did almost nothing at all to stop them. The number of leftist lies surrounding those different riots was staggering. They lied about why there were riots, they falsely blamed police racism, they lied about why the J6 riot occurred, they lied about Trump's effort to stop them... There's literally no aspect of rioting that leftists didn't exclusively lie about thousands of times.

There's not really a mainstream news story of the past 8 years that you could participate, in as a leftist, if you weren't willing to lie profusely. If you think there is one, I'd love to know which one it is...

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

If you missed something on the Cultist Narrative Network, don't worry, the dolt horde here will make sure everyone hears it.

Leftists: "CONSERVATIVES LIE ALL THE TIME! TRUMP LIES ALL THE TIME!!!"

Conservative: "Name some of those lies."

Leftists: "Well, there was the time that 12 droplets of rain fell in 17 minutes at Trump's inauguration, and he said "it didn't rain". That's our 'GOTCHA' moment. His lie was way worse than when Biden continuously said "There's no inflation" or "I had no knowledge of Hunter's overseas business dealings." Those were more like fibs than lies. Also, Trump said that he didn't collude with Russians 20,000 times. That's 20,000 lies."

Conservative: "But Trump didn't collude with Russia, so those weren't lies."

Leftist: "Well, we called them all lies at the time, and we're liars anyways, so we're just gonna leave all of those comments in the 'lie' category. Then we can just say "Trump lied 30,000 times" and none of our cultists will check - they'll believe anything - and conservatives are sick of trying to reason with us so they just let us be. What can I say? It just always works on low-IQ voters."

Left's current lie: If Trump gets elected "he will pull the US out of NATO". Not might... Will.

Robo started a thread with that title, but the little dummy was actually quoting an article from The Atlantic magazine, and I can't really blame him for being sucked in by it because the opening paragraph is rife with words that have 8 or more letters: he was a deer in the headlights.

But why is Atlantic magazine telling lies like that? Because they can. They can do that because leftard cultists are literally so dumb that the publications they support can get away with telling those kinds of ridiculous lies all the time.

Sure, not all leftists are dumb enough to believe it, but the ones who aren't are still willing to lie about it, so The Atlantic's readers will all repeat that headline like good little Nazi Youth Camp stooges.

In fairness the The Atlantic, there's a qualifying statement right below the article's title acknowledging that the article's lead claim is just a theory and not based on a Trump by quote that he intends to pull America out, but muppets like robo won't read that, and even if they did they woldn't understand it. FWIW the statement is:

  1. Editor’s Note: This article is part of “If Trump Wins,” a project considering what Donald Trump might do if reelected in 2024.

So the truth of the matter is that some leftard cultists are just saying that they think that Trump might pull out of NATO, but the title of it says that he will. It is completely misleading, and robo is quoting them verbatim because he's stupid and it gave him a little confirmation bias boner.

If CNN gave an infinite number of monkeys an infinite number of typewriters, leftists would believe everything they typed.

Sorry, that doesn't pass muster.

If it's a prediction, then say "Prediction: If Trump is Elected..."

Then it's honest. FYI when something's as dishonest as that title, it's a lie.

It would also be fine to say that in a sentence starting with "If Trump wins I believe that...." but it's not fine for the title of an article in a published magazine, or even a thread title here, to be in the form of a declarative statement that is not based on a verifiable fact.

If that's the new standard I can put up a thread right now that says "Joe Biden will molest his great-granddaughters". I can say "Look at these pictures of him kissing his granddaughter on the lips, and his daughter said that he took inappropriate showers with her when she was a teen. I think he'd do it..." Do you see how the title is NOT supported by the content of that imaginary thread?

Sorry,"will", and "I believe he will", are not even remotely similar. One does not pass for the other.

"Will Trump pull the US out of NATO if elected?" Sure, that's a title.

"There's a very real chance that Trump will pull the US out of NATO"? Not really, it would still be dishonest because it's still a declarative statement that's not based on an actual statement of intent by Trump.

Ironically, the title of this thread is "Lying is One Of The Main Character Traits of Leftists. It's Mandatory." and it seems, to the unaided eye, that you're here to prove how low your standard for honesty is.

Buddy, the sheer volume of leftist lies over the past 10 years has been mind-blowing.

If the Dems and CNN told 1 or 2 lies, for sure there would be some people who got sucked in and didn't notice, and just repeated them verbatim, but it's not 1 or 2: it's everything. They lie about everything, and not just a little bit. A lot.

When they aren't lying they're omitting, which is another form of lying, exaggerating (lying), minimizing (lying), etc, etc, etc.

You know that CNN almost exclusively lies because your IQ is over 80. Their latest lie to unravel before our eyes is Biden's mental health BS. You knew that he wasn't fit to be president 3 years ago... Being president is a very tough job, with terrible hours and a gruelling schedule. Complicated decisions of epic consequence have to be made, taking into account the strength, determination and capabilities of your country and all of one's geopolitical foes and allies, and Joe honestly can't remember what he had for lunch. He just called Zelenski Putin ffs. He mixed up Trump and Kamala Harris.

He's no not at the first stage of dementia, he's well on his way, and he wasn't qualified to be president when he was at stage 1.

CNN can't pretend that trump didn't get shot, but that doesn't stop them from lying by omission.

I watched their coverage for about 15 minutes and they took two walks down memory lane to recall recent incidents of violence, they mentioned J6th on two different occasions, Pelosi getting attacked with a hammer once, and they made zero mentions of the congressional baseball game shooting.

Was the assassination attempt on Trump not similar to what happened at the congressional ball game, when another leftist was all ginned up on Democrat fear mongering and hatred of Trump and the GOP, and went out with a rifle to kill Republican politicians?

How does J6 compare to what just happened today? It doesn't.

That defence doesn't hold any water. Not one drop.

You can't justify the massive scale of lying from all of the leftist leaders and MSM outlets just by saying "TWUMPIE WIES TOO!"

To say that those leftists and their media lie far more than Trump does is the understatement of the year.

There were more lies told about Russian collusion between 2017 and 2020 than there were about all other things combined on the entire planet, and that's just one of the things that you guys were lying about.

The topic of lying can't even be breached with addressing leftist lying. Even the Nazis didn't have to lie as much as you do.

I didn't 'justify' it. I even admit that politicians on both sides lie and that the liberal media puts out a slanted news picture. That's the difference between you and me. You believe your side is pure as the driven snow when the American right-wing media are utterly, utterly dishonest about everything they cover politically and socially. Nothing better describes its level of honesty and integrity than Tucker Carlson spending five years praising Trump as the messiah and then saying in private texts, “We are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights. I truly can’t wait. I hate him passionately. ... I can’t handle much more of this." Talk about a hypocrite!

And let's not forget “We’re all pretending we’ve got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest,” he wrote in another text message, referring to the “last four years.” “But come on. There isn’t really an upside to Trump.”

Of course politicians aren't honest. It's their job to lie about certain things. Any politician who doesn't lie about about a war they're in should be shot. BUT. There's no relationship between what Dems say and the truth. To simply say "both sides lie" is to pretend that the GOP are just as bad, which is disgusting.

If there's something that the GOP lied about 1/10th as much as the Dems lied about BLM or collusion or covid I'd love to know what it is.

Like I said, there's nothing that compares to the amount of lying the Dems did about collusion. Their lies to get the riots started were inexcusable, as was their support of them.

Nothing that Trump ever did compares to the damage done by the Dems and their support of riots.

Quote

That's the difference between you and me. You believe your side is pure as the driven snow

You know thats not true. I'm fully aware of Trump's philandering and his lies about philandering, my whole point about that is that Clinton was just as bad and Dems pretend like it was nothing.

Rich, powerful men will always do that. Whether or not you find out about it is another story. The media will protect some people and exaggerate what other people did.

Quote

when the American right-wing media are utterly, utterly dishonest about everything they cover politically and socially.

So name 10 stories combined where Fox News told as many lies as the Dems told about collusion.

Add up all the lies from ten Fox News stories and compare that to collusion. I'll wait.

Liberals and democrats start with an answer. Then they try to work their way back to a question that fits their answer.

Has anybody with any training knows, this is a recipe for logical and rational disaster. You can't do it that way. You start with a question and work towards an answer.

As a result they very frequently find gaps between the answer they have selected and the question they would like. But their brain already insists that the answer is correct.

So psychologically what happens is their brains tend to fill in the gaps with information which is not true but allows the narrative to flow in places where truth and reason simply didn't get the job done.

This is actually a well-documented human phenomenon but for whatever reason in this day and age those on the left seem to be affected by at most

Title of article:

  • "Impartial observer will kill people with covid if he gets his hands on the virus."

Body:

  • Welllll, what I really mean by that is, based on some things that io has said in the past (which didn't even rise to that level of threat), I'm predicting that he might do something like that in the future."

Is that cool, io? Does that pass muster?

Should I really write a horrible accusation/declarative statement like that when I can't back it up with concrete facts?

Is that what responsible publications should do now? Is that what public discourse should devolve to?

Sorry, the only excuse for me to say something like that is if I could actually prove that you said something like that. Anything less is woefully insufficient. It's disgusting. It's a new low in an already pathetic world.

Here is the difference between us two on this.. I do not take predictions with the utmost seriousness. In short.. this sort of fear mongering does not motivate me. A prediction is not a declarative statement. Predictions are not fact.

Look I get what you are saying. The facts do not motivate such a prediction. But they are not technically lying.. the event has not happened so there is no way to verify this.

A declarative sentence is generally a simple statement that is used to provide information about something or state a fact. It ends with a full stop or a period. It is the most common type of sentence in the English language.

You're basically bragging about how low your standards are...

I don't write down highly unlikely, slanderous predictions as statements of fact and I would never accept it from others, even if they're "on my side".

Even a highly likely prediction should come with a qualifying statement, such as "Connor MacDavid will score 100 points next year unless he gets injured."

I would definitely say something like "CNN will tell 30 lies tomorrow", because they've told 100 lies a day for the past ten years, and I can easily prove that.
