Disagree.

Trudeau Snr was always interesting. Like Levesque, both had a way of saying something new.

I wish both were alive to say what they thought about this war in Ukraine-Russia.

So. Accusations of treason and aiding the Chinese interfere with the elections are pretty run-of-the-mill in mundane stuff for you as well? :)

It's amusing how when Poilievre is absolutely kicking ass in the polls suddenly the far left like you two  somehow become bored :)

Justin Trudeau gets a lot of attention in the world press, but for all the wrong reasons.

Yeah, for the guy who went on and on when first elected about how now Canada is back and he was going to restore our world reputation he certainly has dumped us in the dog poo on awful lot.

Could it be because it changes nothing? Same tired, grossly over-compensated mediocre management interspersed with showings of tired talking heads and necessary, staple failures, from serious to spectacular? Or only for the entertainment value?

When democracy becomes a circus for the citizens, it may just go away. The Romans 400 BC know.

Well you are talking about the high water Mark of excitement in Canadian politics. The US is relatively boring as they had just gone through Watergate. And were just festering with oil prices and Jimmy Carter.

I think that liberals think that way. I don't think anyone else does. Look at this Trudeau, he's done almost exactly the same things. The same massive spending, the same insulting Canadians that he doesn't like especially in the west, even declared the emergency act, tons of scandals, apparently may have given aid and comfort to china in exchange for political power, tons and tons of exciting stuff!

So what's the difference? The first Trudeau was popular and liberals like that. This Trudeau is massively unpopular and is considered the worst prime minister in history by the vast majority of people.

Liberal voters get bored when their own guy is losing. They don't care about Canada or about the issues or about what's going on, they care about whether or not their guy is in the playoffs.

People like Pierre Trudeau and Rene Levesque had something original to say.

And trust me, both were show-men.

Levesque sure, but he's idea was of the independent Quebec. Trudeau? Apart from from the breathtaking discovery that a century on, an independent country should have its own laws, never understood the obsession with that figure. Is it a macho thing?
