myata Posted January 17, 2024 Report Posted January 17, 2024 (edited) The mindless crowd led by the pipe of a pathologically lying buffoon will likely not notice another interesting coincidence: the infamous dictator Vlad Putin never participated in the election debates. He sets himself way above that level. He doesn't need to formulate and defend ideas and policies, only profess coined truths of the day. The other, "common candidates" just play a warm-up troupe, cheerleading show for the default and unquestionable guru. OK. If formerly proud democratic party decided to reduce itself to this pathetically ridiculous level so be it. The choice is theirs, conscious and free. Important to know and remember though: one does not have to accept it. Accepting the insane is a choice, not a given. There is no obligation to join in. You have a choice. Kudos to Nikki for remembering, and reminding this simple, but important truth. You don't have to play a liar and bully's game and into their hands. You can call it. This is principle, reason and courage. The only example, as it seems, in the whole slew. Update: the debate was cancelled by the network. Well done, Nikki. This is the only way to deal with a pathological liar who is allergic to a single word of truth and relies on his mindless mob to do the work for him. You cannot give a bully their wish, they'll just come back for more. The Republican party may very well be taking the path of collective insanity, consciously and deliberately turning off their integrity and principles, critical minds and objective perception of the reality. But, it's your choice still; you don't have to. With time, they may come to understand the colossal failure of their judgement. There will be no excuses. Consciousness is not a free gift, but a privilege and responsibility. Dereliction, failure of it: only a choice. Edited January 17, 2024 by myata 1 Quote If it's you or them, the truth is equidistant

The fact they are endorsing Trump, doesn't show he is a good candidate. It shows they are so sick of Biden and his policies, they would rather risk going back to Trump, who had them prosper. People vote selfishly. If as a Democrat you can't understand why someone would vote Trump, you're bound to repeat the same mistakes that had him rise to prominence, again. Quote

I see the parallels of Trudeau taking swipes at Poilievre, when his rival takes swipes at his policies. Voters will only care about how you affect their bottom line. How you affect their lives. Biden can't pull the criminal card, as his son is snorting coke off of a hooker's body. Many will remember years of peace under Trump. Prosperity. Now we have wars in several parts of the world. Not only this, but you have to look deeper. People don't respect America. Trump may be a loose cannon, but he was respected. You knew he wouldn't hesitate to respond heavy handed to a legitimate threat. Some say this threatens world peace, yet his record clearly shows it upheld it. Like him or not, it would be best to be aware of what Trump did very well, and to stop dismissing him as a legitimate threat. If am a Democrat, I would adjust my message to avoid alienating half the country. Failure to learn, simply plays into his hands. Just now, OftenWrong said: They don't like his rudeness. He is blunt. Guest Posted January 17, 2024 Report Posted January 17, 2024 Also calling Nikki courageous, when she didn't have the guts to call out Trump, is a farce. If she is against what he is doing, let it be known. Quote
Guest Posted January 17, 2024 Report Posted January 17, 2024 Chris Christie at least pulled no punches. However, he based his entire run on Trump's name. He rightfully so should have lost. It was lazy. Biden is sleepy. Last thing you need, is another candidate without sufficient energy. Quote

She is insanely cautious not to take a bold stance against him. She knows in doing so, that he would eat her for supper. Voters smell it, too. You have leaders like Putin, Xinping leading the world. Weak sauce won't cut it. Haley doesn't take on Trump directly because she needs his voters to win the nom and the general. She's trying to do the impossible of winning over his voters without criticizing their hero. Basically running for VP. But Stefanik already has the toady spot filled. 19 minutes ago, Perspektiv said: She flip flops worse than LeBron James on the basketball court. Really? Haley wishes she had King James' moves. You clearly don't know what you're talking about when you choose the NBA scoring record holder comparison to denigrate ANYONE. You couldn't tie James' sneakers. I KNOW you don't have James' problem of potentially hitting his head on the rim when flying in for a dunk. I saw that once when he had to duck his head at the last second. Quote
