A federally-funded “anti-hate” organization says its relative silence on weeks of antisemitism has been because it only has the resources to focus on hate from the “extreme right.”

Canadian Anti-Hate Network (CAHN) founding chair Bernie Farber made the admission on X in response to a post criticizing the organization for its silence on the recent wave of antisemitism following a terrorist attack on Israelis.

“It’s been a month since the terrorist attack on Israelis. This is the first post from anti-hate since then. I know your views because I’ve grown up knowing you. But it’s not just me calling this out,” posted the user, Ariella Kimmel. 

 

So this group ONLY goes after hatred it sees as 'extreme right'.  I guess that means antisemitism is an 'extreme left' thing.

Because that's where the greatest danger is, by far. Especially in the US. Nothing even comes close.  Sure we haven a few Canadian basement warriors threatening that Canadian gun owners will one day rise up but you know...?

They have been. The right-wing in Israel has been finding it more difficult to maintain power for years now and the left had been protesting in greater numbers against the efforts of Netanyahu to change Israel's institutions in a way that would make it easier for right wing governments to prevail.

Its like David Frum said when conservatives can't win power democratically, they give up on democracy.

But now there's been a galvanizing event that should conveniently put progress on hold for...ever perhaps.
