Phony Fani Willis drops felony charges against Sidney Powell, hangs her on misdemeanors.

The fact they made Powell plead guilty to looking at a voting machine …

She pleaded guilty to 6 counts of “conspiring to intentionally interfere with the performance of election duties”.
This was so the more serious charges were dropped in exchange for her testimony against others.

She also has to write an apology letter to the citizens of Georgia.  Do you think she will profess her innocence in this letter?

If she breaks the terms of her plea (it doesn’t sound like you know what it means to plead guilty), she will likely be in jail for several years.  Being an old lady, that probably would mean dying there…

They are MISDEMEANOR CHARGES stemming from her quest to seek TRANSPARENCY in how votes are tabulated.

You actually think a FUNCTIONING DEMOCRACY should have such laws that crimonalize political campaigns seeking transparency?

America is a messed up dictatorship.

What is the significance of the charges being misdemeanours?

It's the exact same Crapola as the Mueller investigation. Make outrageous claims. Use the entire weight of the government to investigate. Settle on significantly lesser charges far removed from the narrative to justify a bogus investigation. Justify it with other nonsense such as "security"

Presumably, if she didn’t plead guilty, they would have found her guilty of the more serious charges, right?

Why do you think 6 years on probation for election interference isn’t significant?   Do you know what the penalties are for this particular misdemeanour?   Hint: it’s jail time.

So why did she plead guilty if the  whole thing was bogus? She is a lawyer and knew what the consequences would be if the felony charges went forward. You say they had no case, she obviously knew they did.

She admitted guilt and will be writing a letter of apology for her criminal wrongdoings!  LOL

You can't argue with the MAGA CULT because they are immune to any OBJECTIVE FACTS which damn der leader.

It's called cognitive dissonance.

The only thing they will believe is that the government by anyone else is fraudulent because they only believe Trump, despite the enormous documented record of his LIES..

What do you mean "election interference"? She examined a voting tabulator on behalf of her client.

Seriously if that's what America deems as a crime then that nation is more f'd up than I thought initially

You are making assumptions. Maybe the prosecutor dropped the case on the more serious components because they knew they wouldn't get a conviction?

So why did she take a plea deal? Why is she writing an apology and promising to testify truthfully in future trials? If she reneges on any of the conditions, the deal will be off. She is the second person to take such a deal and probably won't be the last. Trump should be very worried.

In layman's terms it means exactly what I said.

Why is she writing an apology

She's writing an apology for having her own expert look at the voter machine, in contravention of the states policy.

Still doesn't mean it's a good policy and doesn't make the prosecution any less 'tarded. Certainly doesn't ease any suspicions of the states election processes.

She is writing an apology that will contain what it contains, not what you want it to contain.

It means she is guilty of election interference and will be called to testify against Trump in his trial. Do you really think they would make her testifying a condition if they didn't know what she will say?

Cognitive dissonance is right.

It's not a random person it was the lawyer from a political campaign and nobody "stole" anything lol

An attorney can request access to something through legal channels.

This was simply a case of hiring people to illegally access and steal it. Which you don't seem to have a problem with.

Lol..

Sorry to break it to you hun but this will end up like the rest of your b.s

The bottom line this just proves that the serious allegations which have been made are certainly NOT based in reality. She hired somebody to look at a voter machine. Whoop de doo..  if that's illegal then it proves the system is messed up

Then why wasn't she charged with theft?

Jeebus, what is wrong with you? She was. Do you not have even a basic knowledge of what you're complaining about?

Powell was originally charged on seven counts:

  • Violation of the Georgia RICO act
  • 2 counts of conspiracy to commit election fraud
  • Conspiracy to commit computer theft
  • Conspiracy to commit computer trespass
  • Conspiracy to commit computer invasion of privacy
  • Conspiracy to defraud the state

Right and she's NOT pleading guilty to that. Are you really that dense?

Yes, because she took a plea deal and will be testifying against Trump. Trump is the big fish, Powell was just a useful fool.

In your case, it takes one to know one doesn't apply.

Why do you believe your OPINIONS (bolded) have ANY VALIDITY wrt "system is messed up," just because you are completely IGNORANT of the purpose of the LAWS VIOLATED.

It is ridiculous to believe any random citizen, even if they are a lawyer, has the authority to compromise election equipment. Powell is not the only one charged with that. Coloradans have been convicted of the same thing.

Former Colorado county clerk Tina Peters sentenced to home detention and community service in obstruction case

Quote

Peters, a supporter of former President Donald Trump who pushed baseless claims of election fraud in the 2020 election, had faced up to six months in jail after she was convicted last month of obstructing government operations

She took a plea because the other stuff was throw whatever you can at the wall to see what sticks.

I'm amazed that you don't understand that going after the little fish first and offering plea bargains is Willis getting her ducks all lined up to go after the big fish. Trump is the object of this exercise, the others are just tools to go after him in the big trial. You think Willis is stupid, she is a f**k of a lot smarter than you Trumpsters give her credit for. Under estimating your enemy can be fatal.

Powell sitting in jail is of no use to Willis.
