Most likely, the very Trump-friendly US Supreme Court will ultimately rule on his eligibility to run. Despite their friendliness of All Things Trump, the SCOTUS has not ruled in his favor in any of his election or personal lawsuits. The Constitutional prohibition is immutable. There is no question that Trump was involved with the events of January 6, and that he gave aid and comfort to the rioters. No conviction is necessary.
