Personally...I don't give a rat's ass what some oddball figures he or she has to wear as clothing. I get wound up when this sort of thing gets openly promoted and normalized for KIDS.

As for Disney and Keureg...I never liked Mickey Mouse and if they continue to alter the classic Disney movies, they'll lose their charm and the stories will suffer in several ways. Keureg is crap. We have one and it never seems to be able to make a full cup of coffee, no matter how many times we clean it.

It normalizes abnormal behaviour. And I don't include gay people in that. My one son is gay but he's dressed in men's cloths and is just another guy in public. Why would anyone want to promote trans life? Its not only abnormal but I would say its a mental illness of sorts.

Well this demonstrates that sliding scale doesn't it.  A gay couple walking around is one thing,  "Some people have two mommies or two daddies".  Done. 

But then we get into trans people - explaining that does indeed become a sexually explicit discussion. It's impossible not to. How do you possibly explain that to children without either confusing them or getting into issues of sexuality, gender perception etc. And that starts to tread on thin ice - children aren't ready for that level of thinking.

And then we get into cross dressing - much of which during 'drag story time' seems to involve sexy outfits.  And now it's really about sex.

And its this dishonesty that keeps people in general, not just the right, very leery of the 'agenda' and leads to comments like 'grooming', and why the left is begining to fall out of favour again.

And it's not that people are promoting trans life. They're promoting trans acceptance. Dylan Mulvaney doing a promo where she's just existing isn't making people want to be trans any more than watching Will & Grace makes people want to be gay. At most, it gets people comfortable with the idea that trans and gay people exist and it's no big deal.

We can easily explain gender without getting into sexuality. Much like we can explain how some boys like girls, some boys like boys, without getting into sexually explicit stuff.

The drag queens at Drag Queen Story Hour are usually dressed like the princesses at Disney World. If this is grooming, so is letting kids watch Mrs Doubtfire.

The idea that a boy wearing a dress is sexual, but a girl wearing the same dress isn't sexual, that makes absolutely no sense. 

And no, the Left isn't falling out of favor. Most Americans still support LGBT rights. And the younger generations are even further Left.

It was never SUPPOSED to go anywhere. Gays and lgbt are more accepted today than they ever have been anywhere in history. Their legal rights are heavily protected. They're on tv, they're in media, etc.  It's not like they're 'unheard of'.

But - kids don't need to be exposed to all of that stuff when they're 6 years old. It can wait. Like you say - it's not going anywhere. It'll be there when they're old enough to start to wrestle with issues around sexuality.

Mulvaney’s trans-formation seems more like misogynist humour than anything else.  It’s certainly making “them” lots of money, though the backlash against Bud Light has been swift.  I don’t think most people are convinced that Mulvaney represents a social justice cause.  It’s the outrageous entertainment of a drag show comedian. Taken as such it can be pretty funny, but I’m surprised that more feminists don’t see how sexist female stereotypes are the humorous content. It’s basically Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno without the irony.

And no, there is no law in the states that you have to treat everyone the same. People have the same rights. That's not the same thing.

DeSantis won't be affected one drop by 'trannies' or disney - if anything smaking disney around won him points. If it wasn't for trump he'd be the next candidate and if he was up against biden he'd have a very strong chance of winning.

Back to the "tranny" issue, i think transgender people on average are pretty well accepted but the political movement of 'transgender' is a different beast altogether, and some of the more unreasonable demands and the constant need for attention of the political activists rubs nerves raw.

As i've said from the get go - the evidence does not suggest this is really a 'tranny' backlash. This appears to be more of a backlash against constant identity politics and the culture wars. This isn't just the far right tranny haters, this is much larger than that.

Here in America, trans folk, by law, have the same rights as everyone else. Now, I don't agree with trans women competing in Women's sports.... I think they have an unfair advantage... But, they do have the same rights as everyone else and should be treated accordingly.

Also, if I feel like I’m a girl this week I expect to compete in women’s sports because trans women are women.  I have a much better shot of winning a women’s competition than a man’s, so get out of my way.  Trans rights are human rights.  The whole idea of gender is stupid.  It’s all a social construct.  Men have babies.  Biological women and men get the same diseases and at the same rates. Not at all.  Bring it on.  I don’t care anymore.  I’m just watching the fireworks for entertainment at this point.   My own family is fairly solid.  I’m sad for the lost young people coming up and the moral decline of the West, but I’ve realized that there are many stupid people who don’t see how, through naïveté and a misplaced sense of sympathy, they are shooting themselves in the feet.  At this point the only sanity is coming from the more traditional immigrants and native born citizens.  The left are basically throwing money and lives at wars and inhumane medical treatments/pharmaceuticals.  The sane people with the means will move to the better jurisdictions.  Everywhere else will be fodder for Chinese-style totalitarianism and identity politics creepers.   Enjoy.
