Herschel Walker was ‘holding his own’ during debate against Warnock, media admit

Quote

Mainstream journalists and even liberal media figures admitted that Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker did better than expected during his Friday night debate against his Democratic opponent Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga.

NBC News contributors, local news commentators, former Daily Beast writers, and even MSNBC anchor Mehdi Hasan acknowledged that the Walker’s debate performance was "not as bad as it could have been."

One claimed that Warnock, the Democratic pro-choice pastor, looked weak and should have fought back harder against Walker’s aggressive criticism, and another even declared Walker the victor.

Bluestein also shared his recap of the debate published in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. In it, he wrote that Republican voters "felt they had good reason to celebrate. If the Friday showdown was a make-or-break moment for Walker, as some analysts predicted it would be, the Republican didn’t snap. And to some of his supporters, the hourlong debate forged him into a stronger contender."

If the voters of Georgia are smart (and if that state enforces its voting laws) Herschel Walker just might upset one of Chuck Schumer's left wing minions.

I watched the bit on the abortion question.

Surprised me. That was where Herschel was supposed to be most vulnerable.

He did well.

Democrats are making a HUGE mistake this fall by using abortion to justify keeping them in office. Overturning Roe did not end the practice. It merely sent the decision to the states. That is WAY down the list from items like crime, gas prices, the collapsing economy, a possible nuclear war.

Oh yes, typical GOP.
Let's back the most deplorable candidate with no political qualifications whatsoever to help run the country just to own the libs

and Trump called the African countries shitholes....

So let me get this straight.

Running over the foot of your ex and not paying child support is good.

But giving money to a woman you may have gotten preggo is bad.

That's warped.

Actually, President Trump (the last LEGALLY elected president) referred to some poverty stricken countries as shitholes, which would include the oil rich ghetto Venezuela and a few hell holes in Central America. (Those animals aren't paying cartel members and letting them sell their children into prostitution just to get up to America for a Happy Meal.)

Not exactly the nicest thing for a president to say, but I've heard Democrats say much worse.

And a country that uses socialism to starve its population IS a shithole. It is pretty much a self inflicted wound.

I believe America should be compassionate, (which we are), but at some point we need to just tell the idiots in these counties to get off their fat asses and fix things and don't come to MOTHER AMERICA for the ATM card.

America fixed itself with our Revolutionary War, and we are the top superpower in the world (despite the best efforts of the Democrats.)

Maybe the residents of the shit holes should grow some similar spines.

Are you asking us to be impressed by the job he's doing?

Considering he's got some things done in spite of an opposition that's 100% committed to being ONLY obstructionists and nothing else, you should be.

And convince yourself Reagan had no political qualifications, you'll convince no one else.

I'd sure like to know what you're talking about. Specifically.

What political experience did Reagan have before he was elected Governor? Are you thinking being President of the Screen Actor's Guild qualifies him to be Governor of California?

Remember that woman who played The Nanny on television? She's your next Governor of California then, I guess.

But for a better laugh list me out all these Joe Biden successes of yours.

Making sure Hunter had the cash to support his drug habit maybe? I can't think of much after that.

You seem to be a typical Joe Plumber that thinks Guild or Union President, Chairman of the Society Board or City Councillor is worse than S.F.A.
Ignoring the last Rich Guy with all that 'experience' cheating, lying, defrauding and tax evasion that sat in the White House. Them's real qualifications, eh?

I’m concluding you’re maybe not female? The issues raised by new red-state laws on abortion which, among many other things, threaten the privacy of women seem to matter quite a bit to that demographic as we have already seen.

Are you on crack?

If Herschel Walker gets elected to the federal Senate, then John Fetterman will also get elected.

Whatta country!

Reagan was an unqualified Senator. He did such a good job they voted him President.

Excuse me, but Reagan was the Governor of California. He was the best governor that crummy state ever had.

He became the greatest president in the history of America.

The point was he was a political novice when he was voted in as Governor. He's headed the screen actor's guild and made an appearance or two to support the odd politician but as far as I know that was about it.

They're saying Herschel Walker can't be taken seriously as a political candidate because he's not a politician. They seem to think that sort of thing has never happened before. I'm giving them one example where they're wrong.

I know very little about Walker's history but I imagine he's done a little public speaking in his past and if you could talk to some of his old team mates they'd most likely have a lot to say about his leadership qualities.

If that's getting it straight, all the folds in your brain must've been smoothed out.

Sending her money for an abortion then running on an anti-abortion platform is so hypocritical even an autistic 4 year old could 'get it'.

Really? And you can prove he gave her the cash for an abortion?

Besides...if it means getting rid of that faux paster who's platform is nonsense...I thing the sports star gets a pass.

TreeBeard,

I'm a foreigner who happens to think that the US is an admirable place with a remarkable constitution.

Fetterman and Walker are whacko. IMHO. But you Americans have a system that can withstand whackos, unlike other places in the world.
