your lame attempt at cancel culture is moronic

you project your own faults on others

Don't know what you are talking about (again) but that is understandable.

Take care.  Hope others treat you kindly.

you want to save the rainforest?

Brazil becoming prosperous is the best way

as that happens

more people will move to the cities far away from the rainforest

and less farmers will be there and need to cut it down to create farmland

if Brazil was dumb enough to cancel fossil fuels, that will result in more rainforest lost

I want to first save the forests of BC, since Canada is a "developed first class country" (supposedly....or maybe just a third world shithole)

Look at what you wrote earlier

"the earth has more trees now because fossil fuels are more efficient than burning wood"

More trees now?  Than when?

Please think before you post anything.  If unsure, do not post.

before we started using coal and oil

Europe clear cut most of it's forests

when wood was the main source of fuel

now those forests have bounced back

as Europe became more wealthy

the BC rainforest is already saved

85% of it is protected from logging

mission accomplished

what are you whining about?

I'll post at my leisure

as usual you are accusing others of doing what you are doing

try following your own advice, think before you post

Again you post something you know absolutely nothing about!    Stop spreading bullshit on the web. Go on Google Earth and try to find your 85% of protected forests.  They are gone!

fake news

accusing everyone who knows more than you

of not knowing what they're talking about

isn't fooling anyone but you

that you know what you're talking about

the rainforest is protected by law, at least 85% of what is left isn't going to be consumed by humans

these are facts, just because you don't like how the facts expose your lack of knowledge

doesn't make them bullshit

your feelings have no bearing on reality

the BC rainforest is not in danger

fake news

Not news.  Facts.  And these are real facts from someone living in the center of the logging devastation; not you, the armchair expert, or most likely, a misguided kid, just posting whatever is on your mind for the sake of it.

That;s it for me.  You can keep pissing against the wind.

you have posted no facts

just your feelings

I am the one posting facts

and because they contradict your feelings

you choose to call them lies, bullshit or misinformation

you might live near logging devastation

but that doesn't mean that the area you live in

is indicative of the state of the rest of the rainforest

the actual facts run against your emotional screed

MP's make close to 200k annually and get a pension after barely serving long.  They can't empathize with the single mom  making 35k trying to raise kids.

And at that doing very little but following the hand of never-elected conductors in PMO. The model works on assumption that the well is bottomless and endless. Is it though? At some point we may find out.

What is most comforting to me is the knowledge that no matter how articulate I am,...or not...my post will change nobody's mind and nobody will care. Nothing will change in the world.

Until you can posit a way in which we can slow or stop climate change it really isn't important, is it? No one has come up with a way yet which doesn't require all nations to cooperate - which is just not happening.

Carbon dioxide will cease being released in such large numbers when we find a cheaper way of producing large amounts of reliable energy and not before.

facts

the free market will decide

central planning will not

"environmentalists" pushing central planning as the only solution

are fake environmentalists using the environment as an excuse to control the economy

they are central planners masquerading as environmentalists because their retrograde economics need better branding to sell

any real environmentalist would see that the free market is an ally of the environment, not it's enemy

and would seek to leverage that tool rather than counter-productively undermine it

Coal is so 19th century.

Good on Canada for finally working it out.

Now you just have to accept that oil is so 20th century and you're right up to date.

The Left is always good with sacrificing other people's jobs and livelihoods for their utopian ideals.

Not so much their own.

The reality is burning coal produces over 30% more CO2 per BTU than any petroleum product and 80% more than natural gas.

The right is always good at mislabelling environmentalists as ''the Left''.

Coal is going the way of the steam engine and about time too.

Nothing wrong with steam engines, if you burned hydrogen to heat the water they would produce no pollution or CO2 at all.

Sure.

Solar powered steam turbines are a great way to generate electricity too.

Coal fired power stations though, not so much.

Eventually you'll be right. You're not at the moment. Literally hundreds of new coal fired power plants are under construction around the world. How is the climate better off if they're supplied by Russian coal instead of Canadian coal?

Ah, the ''if we don't do it someone else will'' argument.

If I don't sell my dog to the Korean restaurant someone else will sell them one...

It’s true though whether you like it or not. Didn’t know you love coal like you love your dog. Interesting.

Most Irishmen don't consider Orangemen to be real Irishmen but luckily for me the Irish passport office does.

God save the Queen, God bless EU citizenship and down with coal.

Maggie was right for all the wrong reasons.
