Shady
Joe Biden asserts that Antifa is just an idea. Even though Antifa groups have caused billions of dollars in damages in cities across America. Not to mention assaults and even murders. Here he is addressing militias and white supremacists. As if that’s been the significant issue since George Floyd’s death.

Shady
How long will he keep his head in the sand? Is he doing it on purpose? Does he think these groups and these people don’t really exist. Like it’s a hoax or something?

The Dems know that they have two kinds of supporters a) people who don't give a shit about the truth and b) people who are too stupid to see trough the most blatant of lies.
Moonlight Graham
But antifa is basically an idea, or set ideas. It's more of a movement than a cohesive group. You can ban the group, label them a terrorist organization, but it won't get rid of the ideas that members of antifa believe. Antifa is also not a centralized group or one that can be easily generalized, similar to BLM. Both involve peaceful protestors, and violent protestors. Antifa is basically a far-left resistance movement to what they see as racism and neo-fascism and alt-right stuff. So I condemn most of not all of the violence they do, but i have nothing wrong with the video Shady posted of the antifa dude cussing out the Portland mayor. He's exercising his right to free speech.
ironstone
Antifa is very real as is the enormous amount of violent destruction that they cause. Anyone who seriously thinks right wing extremists are to blame is just flat out wrong. We can't forget their partners in crime, BLM. There has to be a certain amount of cohesion just because the violence is planned. These terrorists know where and when to show up. Thank you social media. The coverage by the mainstream media of Antifa is criminally awful to put it mildly.

There's little centralized cohesion or organization in these groups is what I mean. Usually its just a bunch of smaller local sects planning stuff in their city. I agree that the violence by these groups needs to end. But a lot of that is also up to cities, not only the feds who may not have the jurisdiction. The internet is the tool providing the means for the small distributed and loosely organized groups to quickly "organize" into action.

Kind of, but a bit different. al-Qaeda had/has a central leadership and command, but also a very loose international network of people working "in their name" like antifa that don't have to take orders and can do their own thing. They use the same logo as the German communists of the same name, who were in a group, and it's not by coincidence. FWIW Antifa may see themselves as communists, but they are actually fascists at the present time. Quote nothing wrong with the video Shady posted of the antifa dude cussing out the Portland mayor. How is he an "Antifa dude" if Antifa is just an idea, and not an organized group? Wouldn't he just be "a fascist with a nickname"? Quote He's exercising his right to free speech. Something that people wouldn't have if Antifa got their way.

U-Haul trucks are being rented by members of left wing organizations.

Not 'organizations' though, mind you. They're 'random people coincidentally showing up together at meetings and protests, and because they're awesome they share the signs and weapons that mysteriously show up at those protests and use them to attack police, burn down buildings, and smash windows so that they can loot'. Not to be confused with an 'organization', which would be different somehow.
