Sounds like you are butt hurt about it, but I follow Canadians law to the letter and I pay plenty of taxes which then pays for the socialist Canadian free loaders.

I'm not butt hurt at all. I am questioning your way of thinking.

I'm happy that part of my earnings that I work hard to make are going towards those who are vulnerable and in need of help.

Hey Dougie, I am a proud Canadian and I love America and its people! Some of my dearest friends are in the US. They say, huh? And we say, eh? I guess I'm lucky because I've never encountered a problem crossing into Michigan.

Hopefully you don't, but I would say that Canadians reputation in America is not what it once was.

All my American friends and family have nothing good to say about Canada these days, they basically view it as Mexico North.

You don't pay your taxes. The Canadian people pay your taxes.

40% of Canadians pay no income tax at all.   I'm one of the people who actually generates capital and pays taxes here.

Meanwhile, 50% of Canadians are $200 dollars away from being bankrupt and there is record insolvencies in Canada right now.

Reason being that the Canadian socialist state keeps driving the prices of everything up in Canada, and people can't afford to maintain their lifestyles

So they are going ever deeper into debt with no way out.

You are butt hurt, everybody reading this knows it.

My way of thinking is that I follow Canadian law and pay my Canadian taxes, I don't owe Canadians anything beyond that.

It's nice that you're speaking for others. Just like your announcement that someone is not working, even though you don't really know.

As a Canadian taxpayer who works hard, I'm happy that my taxes are paying for you to have internet access so that you can sit here and share your frustrations about how Canada has lost its way and there are too many coloured people.

Bear in mind that I am all for Canada being flooded with immigrants from the third world, the more the merrier, and the quicker Canada will go broke in the process

The quickest and easiest way to bring the socialists down is to incite them to spend themselves into an economic grave

It's understandable that you might think your bubble of friends represents over 300mil people. What do the polls say?

You need to make up lies apparently, you are the one who invoked a race war,  I never did.

Ya, you and Yzer both did, which is why I was poking fun at it.

Here's you:

There will be scapegoats.

I would expect those to be the usual suspects, immigrants, gays, transgenders, feminists, academics, peaceniks, etcetera, all the sacred cows of the left.

The hunters will become the hunted.

Not a promotion, merely a prediction.

Here's you making up lies and then presenting evidence which contradicts them.

300K Americans ?  lol.    What a moron.

Sometimes frustration in debating can lead a person to really reach.

So are all of your friends part of the 6% of Americans that don't see Canada favourably? Or do you think that this poll is a left wing conspiracy?

All would be better off because Canada does not actually have a national interest, the interests of all the provinces are in conflict.

All the corruption and dysfunction in Canada flows from the federal government trying to jam everything down the provinces throats.

Quebec and Alberta should not be the same country, it doesn't work, hence why Canada is a basket case.

I would strongly disagree and say that most Canadians in all provinces see more common cause with each other than other nationals, including Quebecers.  Doesn’t matter in some ways because in post-national state it’s about people over nation.  Nevertheless, the people who think that way inside Canada’s physical boundaries need to be able to defend and maintain that set-up, which requires the tools of the nation state: national defence and security, foreign relations apparatus, etc.

That is all hollowed out, that's gone, the Post National State is a void, it's not governance, it's the absence of governance, there's no there there, it's all empty words.

Most of what Canadians credit to Canada is not actually a result of Canada, the provinces do most of the work, the federal government is just a burdensome boondoggle.

The reason you are not freezing in the dark at the mercy of bandits, is your province, if you really had to rely on Ottawa, you'd be seriously f@cked

You mean that if there was an Estados Unidos Americanos Hispanics, or something like that as I don't speak Spanish, from Mexico to the southernmost point of Chile obviously not including Brazil.

Would such a huge country be a roaring success as two English-speaking geographically large countries have become very successful?

Makes no sense in the Information Age, large countries are a product of modernity, they are no longer required in post modernity.

Hong Kong is richer and more successful than Canada, and it's just a rock with a port.

Hong Kong is even proving more able to stand up to Beijing than obsequious Canada.

Tiny Singapore has a military which dwarfs Canada's, the city of Singapore could defeat Canada head to head in a war.

Canada is worse than useless,  doesn't serve any practical purpose, yet it costs an arm and a leg to run it.

Half the people in Canada are going broke, just trying to prop this zombie up.

It's nothing more than a giant boondoggle run by and for entrenched interest elites at the expense of everybody else.

Canada is like a giant Jonestown,  Canadians have Stockholm Syndrome, drinking the Kool Aid of the elites upon their necks.

You sound like the kid who has a full on temper tantrum in the restaurant because you got butterscotch ice cream instead of vanilla when most kids would be happy to get ice cream.  Find a cause worth fighting for.  Canadians, Americans, and most Europeans have it pretty good by world standards.  Yeah sometimes I get tired of the Canadian naïveté and overmothering by the state, which makes our taxes a bit higher.  Then again, I’m so grateful to live in this land of plenty where people work hard to take care of the infrastructure, themselves, and each other.  I bitch about, Canada, America, and much else, but then I remember Dale Carnegie’s famous chapter, “Never complain, never explain”, which means if something bothers you, change it.  If you can’t change it, accept it and move on.  Stop whining.  If you don’t like your situation, get the hell out of Dodge.  No government or organization is keeping you here.
