Topic merge rules??

Sry, I am a new user. Can someone please kindly explain to me the topics merge rules or the logic behind it.

This topic "    
Ilhan Omar campaign strategist's wife claims Omar is having an affair with her husband" has been merged with "The road to 2020" (2020 United States presidential election). Then, this 3 topics "Snopes is Utter Crap/Kamala Harris is Likely Descended from Slave Owners" and  "Bernie Sanders, at 77, Just Learning the Basics - Socialism is an Epic Failure", and "The Squad Trip To Israel Cancelled" have their own threads. In addition, I lost my reply as well.

It did lost. I am not lying. My reply was "it seems that she uses  "some people did something" describe 9/11, not illegal parking" , and it was gone after you megred the topic.

And your call base on what?   Last time I chect, she didn't run for the whitehouse. Now, you megred the thread, and my topic is hijacking the old thread. Do you understand what thread hjjacking mean?

I find Charles Anthony to be the best moderator I've ever encountered on the internet, even when I think he's being excessive, it's still good moderating in relation to most moderated forums.

I don't know, IMO,  it is odd that you need to pull up someone history to justify his current act.

I defer to his judgement, frankly, I think his intuition is better than mine when it comes to moderation.

If he sanctions me, I just acknowledge and move on, there's an endless number of threads, none of them are precious per se.

don't know,  different people choose different action. Some move on, some stand their ground and ask for ans.

All moderation is arbitrary, it's like being a Ref in hockey, it's a judgement call and the players usually gripe about it, but the Refs just have to move on.

I don't like video review, let the Refs call the game, even when I curse them.

What I don't like is if there is ideological bias and/or favoritism, but again, in my estimation, Charles Anthony makes a good faith effort to call the plays without trying to decide the outcome of the game.

Which is all you can really ask from the Refs in the end.

Ya, I usually will let it go, but this one is so offside. It's even worse than Cody Eakin's major or matt duchene's goal. C'mon, by not making a correct call, Refs already affects the outcome of the game.

There is a board administrator, he's like the director of referees, it's his job to regulate Charles Anthony, I just jump over the boards and play my shift, it's not my place to tell the Refs how to suck eggs.

Moreover, as I've seen what moderating is like on the internet in general, so if I was board admin, I would think Charles Anthony was elite, so I wouldn't fire him.

Unless they are firing Charles Anthony, they pretty much have to defer to his judgement as well, it's unlikely that being the moderator of this forum is well compensated.

If Charles Anthony decides he's got better things to do, I'd bet we'd get stuck with a real dickhead as the new moderator, so I don't look a gift horse in the mouth,

So there you go, that's what the Refs in the NHL do, if a player is really squawking, they come over and give you a quick explanation, as a courtesy.

First of all, did you read the news itself or you just think this is TMZ and skip it? The news was on nbcnews' politics-news section, Washingtion Examniner's news, inquistir's US politics section. nypost's news section, Huffpost's politics section, national reivew's POLITICS & POLICY section ....

If that is the case, you need to merge all other threads (I mentioned) to that thread. C'mon, if you want users not making dems look moralless, just say so.

This causes a LOT load of confusion for me and Egghead who were both wondering what the hell happened to the thread.

It happened, we know it happened, we need an explanation as to WHY and now we need both threads separated again.

C'mon give me a break, did you think I would act without fact checked as you or are you thinking people are stupid? look at the time stamp. I went through 3 pages to assure that the reply was gone, and I reposted the reply (I omitted "not illegal parking" so that I knew that it was a repost). As, I said before, it is not a big deal. Just own it.

P.S. you can go over the backend db or traffic log, it should show up.
