AAAhhh is that not how democracy works...

That is how democracy works, Demos simply being the rule of the majority which is the rule of a mob, hence why William of Orange instituted Parliamentary Supremacy in 1688 which tempers that to democratic representation within a constitutional monarchy.  You pick your MP to represent you, but that MP actually swears an oath to serve the Queen of Canada.

The issue in Canada in terms of corruption is not so much the voters but rather those MP's failing to hold to their oaths and instead succumbing to totalitarian adherence  to Party over Crown, Prime Minister over Queen, thus rendering Canadian Confederation into a failed state as much as an army is routed when they abandon their posts.

It's like the troops may screech at you to do all sorts of crazy things, to include fleeing the field in a panic, but that's where your oath kicks in and you tell them to get back in their holes and prepare for contact, that is what MP's are supposed to do, but don't in Canada anymore.

They don't uphold their oaths because they don't believe in the Queen they swore an oath to anymore, so it becomes a banana republic by default.  In a banana republic, the government succumbs to being loyal only to the narrowly vested entrenched interests who bribe them, and that is how Canada is now.

It is now becoming increasingly totalitarian, because in order to tamp down resistance to those narrowly vested interests, the banana republic has begun to invoke thought crime, in that those who speak out are castigated as "White Supremacists!" "Nazis!" etc, to wit, enemies of the state.

Even more ominously, as it is a bought and paid for government, that makes it very easy for the Chinese to take control, China having trillions of US dollars at its disposal for bribing Canadian MP's

Rally, rally, rally to the Colours, stand to, stand to.

At Queenston Heights and Lundy's Lane,
Our brave fathers, side by side,
For freedom, homes and loved ones dear,
Firmly stood and nobly died;
And those dear rights which they maintained,
We swear to yield them never!
Our watchword evermore shall be
"The Maple Leaf forever!"

Guy, guys, guys, this discussion has veered way too far off topic.  Trudeau was found guilty of ethics violations and using his office in a completely inappropriate way.

Yabbut, justice is subjective, so it doesn't matter if Trudeau is guilty of ethics violations and using his office in a completely inappropriate way.  No doubt, he had a completely justifiable reason for it and that should be enough to let it slide.  If its good enough for McConnell, it should be good enough for Trudeau.

You seem to be confused.  It's irrelevant what Justin felt.  He's the perp.  That would be like asking what Trump felt.  Nobody has done that.
