Well it's easy to discredit Levant, we all know that. You are trying to split hairs over the 15/18 year age, but that's all fluff. Go look up the case of Hamdan v Rumsfeld and you will see, hopefully, why the Gitmo kangaroo court conviction of Khadr was illegal.

That's not "splitting hairs", that's 90% of you people's argument ...and 100% of Jacee's.

There you go, finding out you're wrong...again, and trying to change the conversation...again.  Let's me guess, you have 'No idea what i'm talking about"...right?

But they did know that Dad was a terrorist - didn't they?  Because you're so in tune with children, I have to ask, If you knew dad was a terrorist, would you consider that a safe environment for children to be raised?

Not when they were here, no.

Yes because, any violation of human rights, regardless of what they are.... takes precedence over any other laws on our books...That is the message of all of this....a message received load and clear across the country.......Not to mention the failure of our entire system, be it our justice system, that should have charge Omar with all the rest of laws he broke....They instead concentrated on his Human rights, and the fact he was a Child soldier, totally forgetting or forgiving his other possible criminal charges he committed.....Not to mention the same charges his other family members committed....

Luckily proper courts, at least here in Canada for the most part, work on the principle that in order to convict someone of a crime you need to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that a crime was committed. Not take the word of bunch of military wonks who really know nothing about, or have no need to respect, the due process.

NO, you didn't discredit him at all.

What you don't seem to realize is that it was your credibility that took a big hit!   You're giving a false opinion - it shows not only did you not understand the "bitch" part in the  video -  but you don't know what you're on about!

No, you have no idea what you're talking about. But I have tried to explain it from the legal realities of thisi case.

Most people ignore Levant most of the time because he has a credibility about as solid as Fox or Breitbart.

Never mind most people.  That's not the issue.

In this video about Khadr, it's proven that he's speaking the truth, and you're not. :)

Yes, and I can see how it went well over your head. First clue was your patronage to Levant.

Not legally in Canada they don't.

He chose to take a plea to get the hell out of Gitmo.

You think laughing and joking about an infant being blown up is "clever" yet you whine about a US terrorist who got killed taking part in a war crime in Afghanistan. You are really sick, as is bcsapper.

You're obviously not on the same page. He's a Canadian citizen, which means if he was a soldier, he was a CHILD soldier. And he was tried and convicted in a court the SCOTUS deemed to be illegal. Get with it.

No I wouldn't. If the gov knew that when they were still here, why didn't they do something for the kids?

Let me guess: They had pere Khadr under surveillance to see what they could learn, and didn't want to alert him?

Yes, the proper courts have turned a blind eye to all the other charges that had the proof to meet all the criteria of Canadian laws....The question is why ?

Not sure where or what the "not take the word of a bunch of military wonks who really know nothing about, of have no need to respect, the due process" means, Those that served as prosecutor and defense lawyer were Military lawyers, the same qualifications as any civilian lawyer....the Military tribunal was over seen by once again military lawyers...

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.
