Many are not concerned because it is exactly what they want.

Well, that's undeniably true.

Bigots of all sorts are pleased at what they're getting.  I see David Duke has welcomed the addition of Steve Bannon to the White House staff.

People who would like a more authoritarian style of government will be happy to see an ardent admirer of Putin in charge.

The wealthy who don't give a crap about anyone else will enjoy their tax cuts.

The banking industry will love this because of the coming deregulation.

Oh, and climate change deniers will get a big kick out of it.

And millions of "low information voters" who will be worse off under Trump but don't have the patience to go and figure it out are happy - for now at least.

Into which category do you fall?

The fact is the left has gone regulation crazy and seems to think that if society does not choose to produce the outcomes that it desire then it should be forced to (a.k.a the authoritarian left). The same it true for identity politics which is a particular fetish of the left which has gone way beyond a legitimate discussion of discrimination into a bizarro fantasy world where discrimination and racism is fine as long as you are not white/straight or christian.

It should come as no surprise that extremism from the left has been met with extremism from the right. The question is are you going to recognize how the tendency by people like you to vilify people who disagree with you by calling them racists or deniers led to the rise of Trump or are you going to double down on your bigotry and hatred and further exacerbate the problem?

Your contention is that the US is rejecting money in politics by electing a trust-fund baby - billionaire with highly questionable business ethics?  That's absurd. The very idea only shows that people are not paying attention.

Trump is a pretend reformer who will use the presidency to enrich himself.

I agree with that, but what I'm saying is that he's not bought and paid for by lobbyists and party donors and isn't controlled by them, so he can say and do all the things he wants without pissing off corporate donors.  He's outside the Washington system, which is what people like about him.  I'm not saying having the corporate class actually ruling is good, or that he isn't going to be a selfish greedy jerk and deregulate everything for his own gain.  I'm not even saying what I said is the truth, but it's what people like about him.

And Graham, money has always been a part of politics, and not just in the United States.

So, that are you saying?  It's gone to such ridiculous levels that something needs to change.  It's gone to such extremes that Joe Average is progressively losing out more and more. People are fed up.  At some point they'll fight back.

If there is to be a revolution in America in the near future, it will almost certainly be guided from the presidency.  What type of revolution will it be?  Who can know?  Since Trump ran a campaign based almost entirely on rhetoric (much of it bigoted) and since he is already distancing himself from the few actual promises he made, he's free to do almost anything.

What can the POTUS do if the House and Senate is corrupted and unwilling the pass the laws the POTUS wants?  It may be guided by the POTUS for sure but there has to be a something that comes from the bottom, ie: the voters, who will reject the bought off scum that's in Congress and the White House.  Trump is a total wacko but if there's one good thing to come out of the election it's that the Democratic Party is in shambles right now and there are calls for resignations and a movement within the party to clean up the corrupt elements in it because they see the voters as rejection Hillary because of the fact she's a prototypical corrupt Washington sleeze.
