It's all good....the same 'murican haters will be watching American TV programming and films, and using American social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube, and Google).    Hating America helps to define the Canadian identity....which starts with NOT being American.

Many Canadians still support the U.S. with their feet and wallets.

But we need to save their feelings! They're worried about their own long term mental health of hating us.

There has always been a strong anti-American undercurrent in Canada from the very beginning.   The disdain and outright hatred stems partly from the dichotomy of opposing U.S. foreign and domestic policies while being utterly dependent on the U.S. economy.

Trump vs. Trudeau is just the latest version of the "elephant vs. mouse" relationship...the mouse has been vocally anti-elephant many times before....and the elephant usually just ignores the mouse's screaming.  When the elephant shouts back...it shocks the mouse...BOYCOTT !!

Canadians attacked Trump viciously and continuously even before he became president...as if it mattered.

Liberal scientists do win a lot of prizes. But I’m more concerned about the intellect of a population that would fall for a con job Mexico will pay for a wall.

just imagine where you’d be in the world rankings with out that group to drag you down,

More of those in the USA too...benefiting from U.S. government and private research from a population investment that dwarfs levels in other nations.

Canada is far behind even the OECD average.

Yet the average American is illiterate beside the average Canadian. Dumbed down population is why trump is your president. It takes a “special “ kind to fall for the con..

I don’t fault you for trying to deflect, I just chuckle,

Good...now go win some more Nobel Prizes, but you'll never surpass the "illiterate" Americans.

If you want some lessons in illiteracy read trump’s tweets. Between retweeting neo Nazis and white nationalists his grammar and spelling is a terrific example. My all time favourite was “UNPRESIDENTED”.

Now think about the intelligence of his supporters.

Trump can tweet whatever the hell he wants to....he still has 1st Amendment rights.   No stupid ass hate speech laws as in Canada.

Here is one of Canada's "literate" prime ministers:

You are correct. Trump has every right to be ignorant, and his supporters have every right to form their little cult.

Meanwhile reading and writing is a little tough for them,.and science,, sheesh,,, that’s somthing to deny.

We are...don't need your permission.

More Canadians still emigrate to the USA than Americans going to Canada...always have.

Must be the weather ?

I visited the Menin gate in Ypres Beligium a few years ago, it’s a WW1 memorial, beautiful place. They conduct a last post ceremony every night 365 days a year since they built that memorial in 1927. Attached to the memorial is an outdoor human rights museum. Several displays with human rights atrocities documented. There is of course an Abu graighb Display along with testimony of people tortured .

Hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world visit the menin gate every year. It was easy to spot the Americans,  when they got to the display they quickly hung  their heads , stared at their shoes and quickly shuffled by in shame..

Good for you. False equivalency  to hide your shame is cool.. .hint...... google the term.....

This is a fun game and great for my post count, but it is getting off topic.   Google "Residential Schools".

Please start another thread where you can express your hatred for America and Americans within forum rules.

This thread is about Trump and Canada, and how much fun Trump is having.

A common way for this fallacy to be perpetuated is one shared trait between two subjects is assumed to show equivalence, especially in order of magnitude, when equivalence is not necessarily the logical result.[2] False equivalence is a common result when an anecdotal similarity is pointed out as equal, but the claim of equivalence doesn't bear because the similarity is based on oversimplification or ignorance of additional factors.

How should countries respond to U.S. tariffs?

1. Boycott all 100 percent U.S. made goods.

2. Lean on multi-literalism: Trump is playing the Machiavellian game of divide and conquer.  By seeking bilateral agreements, he is setting U.S. trading partners against each other.  Don't give into the temptation to do this for the sake of a trade agreement with the U.S.. Canada, Mexico, the E.U. and other impacted countries should support each other and enhance free trade with each other.

3.  Do NOT remove or reduce any of the counter-tariffs against the U.S. until the U.S. removes its 2018 tariffs.  Again, all non-U.S. trading partners must have absolute unity in the application of this measure.
