A bad Catholic to a progressive is one who frowns and expresses some hesitation about whether gays should be married.

A bad Muslim is one who demands all gays be immediately put to death as called for in the Koran.

To a progressive, there's little difference between these two. If anything, the Catholic is worse, unless of course, he's not white.
