I've never viewed the Russians as my enemy. But I do note the West has real enemies.

Apparently you didn't live in the US, especially anywhere near the east coast in '62. For instance.

You're free to hate the Russians. I don't mind.

You're free to love them. I don't mind.

In Charlottesville on Saturday night, a White Supremacist group holds a rally and chants:  Russia is our friend.

No mystery to me, considering the strong-man style of Putin and the cultural attitudes we hear about coming from Russia. Anti gay-rights for example. Also Russians are communists no longer, and they are predominantly white.

This latest Russia hysteria seems odd to me. In regards to fighting ISIS in Syria, where several nations are involved in the conflict, the US has shared and will continue to share intel with the major players in the region. To do otherwise would be foolish. That's how accidental bombings can happen. Despite ongoing political hype in the media, Russia and the US have worked together in both military and non-military endeavours. One example is the international space station.

Oh the Russia hysteria is old news now. Now it's the Comey memo.

Sorry, I had to go to work all day. No time to sit in Mom's basement, drink beer and play on the PC.

Oh well, always tomorrow. Your mom must be used to it by now.

Tomorrow's Wednesday. I gotta work 5 days a week. Not like those who have part time jobs in the dish pit.

Lots of them, all around the world. But I believe Mitt Romney was correct in that Russia is the most dangerous in the short to medium term. China may be in the long term.

Agreed....and this has nothing to do with Russia.   Trump haters in the U.S. (and wannabes in Canada) are hoping and praying for anything that will lead to President Trump's downfall, including farting on Air Force One.    What they don't understand is that impeachment is a political process and the Republicans control the House and Senate.   Even if Trump was impeached (like Bill Clinton), it doesn't mean he would no longer be POTUS.

I don't see now, how the Senate Justice committee can do anything but subpoena Comey and any documents or memos he made about his meetings with Trump.

Lots of them, across both oceans.

The Communists certainly were a threat, but this Putin-Russia is a far cry from the USSR in many respects. For example, I'm pretty sure Putin doesn't have 100+ mech divisions sitting on the German border with the engines running like in zee good olde dayz.

Unfortunately in this type of case you need more than memos. We need the tapes, if they exist.

No, but he's been rebuilding and modernizing his military while the west has been letting theirs deteriorate. Have you seen how small and underfunded the military forces are now for countries in Europe, even the major ones like the UK and Germany?

This just makes Putin smarter on military readiness than Europe...and Canada !
