What's Up With Kevin O'Leary?

Witness Justin Trudeau.

Harper and Chretien did alright for themselves without a business background, looks, smile or personality. Don't begrudge the PM for being the whole package.

I wouldn't if he was.

Yes you would. No matter WHO or WHAT Justin Trudeau was, you would be on here trying desperately to discredit him, and everything he does.

No. I merely have higher standards than you do. That doesn't make me hate all Liberals. It makes me disdain someone chosen as leader ONLY because he is pretty and his name is Trudeau. We all know if Trudeau was short and bald he wouldn't be PM now. If his name was Schultz he wouldn't be PM now. There is no THERE there. Why should I be the least bit impressed by him?

Anyway, while O'Leary is not without his flaws, he's not boring. He's direct, and not mealy-mouthed, and you know where he stands on things. And yes, I'm well aware that is part of the reason why people are supporting Trump. That does not, however, make it a bad thing. I've been decrying the bland, whey faced, mealy mouthed political class for years, here and elsewhere. I liked Mulcair, in part, because he was usually not like that. He was direct and outspoken. Was he polite all the time? Hell no. But you knew where he stood on something.

Anyway, while O'Leary is not without his flaws,

His attitude stems from his first job in which he was fired from for not doing what the boss said. I've seen a couple interviews where you can tell he is still bothered by that to this day. Holding a life long grudge that allowed him to become a cold calculating money maker.

I have said many times I don't need to LIKE the PM. I prefer the PM be a bastard rather than a soft-hearted sap.

Yesterday at Power and Politics, they had him listed as a leadership candidate with a rating second only to Ambrose....

.....is he officially running?

Is he trying to pull a "Trump?" Canadian-version?

The Canadian version of Donald Trump would probably be Don Cherry lol. While DC is well-loved by Canadians I don't think there are 20,000 people in this country who would vote for him to be pm.

We had that 'bastard' , a cold one mind you, for the previous decade. But let's give Trudeau a little more time before we declare him the worst PM ever.

I don't know enough about all the previous PM's to declare a worst, but Trudeau's kindergarten teacher mentality leaves him dangerously ill-equipped to deal with the real world.

I'm not sure I'd want to put that to the test. ?

Hey! How 'bout Mike Duffy for CPC leader!?! ?

I don't know anyone who agrees with Don Cherry the majority of the time, but almost everyone appreciates his honesty. He doesn't take the time to filter his opinions down to fit within the CBC's guidelines. It's ok within the confines of hockey (usually) but his bombast and his lack of tact and diplomacy is too much for politics. Just like Trump. I'm confident that he wouldn't get elected to anything higher than city councellor.

Mike Duffy always looks like he just came out of an adult superstore with his rabbi/priest/imam staring at him. His political career is over before it begins.

I think either of them would be better than O'Leary.

But that's not saying much.

They're all blowhard buffoons.

Like Trump.

I hope so.

I hope so too. I don't think that O'Leary would be a person that would allow others to take taxpayer's money for free, unlike the socialist NDP and liberals who think that the ones who work should be supporting the ones who don't or won't work. Our medical and social services are being abused and going broke, and this needs to stop.

O'Leary would take anybody's money for free.

He's all about the money. :/

Canadians like their leaders to be wimps and oh so politically correct in their views. They appear to not want to hear someone say something different to what the mainstream media party(global/CTV/CBC)is telling them. They get scared. That someone who has a different point of view to that of the media party's point of view has to some how be some kind of a kook. Most Canadians do not want anyone rocking the political boat even though rocking that boat may be of benefit to them. They like the mainstream point of view, and not want to listen to an alternative media point of view.

I don't think we can be too hard on Canadian politicians after seeing the dog's breakfast that came up for the Democratic and Republican nominations lol. I'd probably take Trudeau over any of those guys and Trudeau is basically our own enemy.
