bush_cheney2004 Posted February 24, 2016 Author Report Posted February 24, 2016 I suspect they are fearful of a nutbar at the helm. And it certainly affects Canadians in a really bad way if he were to become the POTUS. But Trump hasn't even won the GOP nomination yet. It is fear of something that may happen, but does not even exist. Canadians have been affected (negatively) by President Obama too, but they don't "fear" him....quite the opposite. It is an irrational fear of something Canadians without U.S. citizenship have no control over. Why worry so much about it ? Fascinating to watch each U.S. election cycle here on MLW. bush_cheney2004 Posted February 24, 2016 Author Report Posted February 24, 2016 Hillary has a lifetime of achievements in supporting children, families and black families. She needs this positioning because of politics. Plain and simple. Actually, the Clintons were part of massive 1990's welfare reform that reduced eligibility and lifetime welfare benefits to many "black" families. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
On Guard for Thee Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I agree...fear is what the left wingers and like minded sycophants in Canada have demonstrated so far concerning the Trump campaign. They are really scared of him. Remember how much they loved "hope and change" Obama ?Now if you want to see a proper example of sycophants, here's one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LANWqKvCV0 Who in their right mind wouldn't be scared? eyeball Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I won't argue this point. In a country where millions upon millions of people are bitterly opposed to medical benefits?I wouldn't put a lot of faith in the level-headed voter theory. I would however place all bets on Trump in the event of a galvanizing one. Quote A government without public oversight is like a nuclear plant without lead shielding.

eyeball Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 You may have a point there, but plenty of the Trump coverage has referred to his strategy as tapping into voter anger or stirring it up. To say it's all fear mongering is simply nonsense. It's anger-mongering amongst a population exhausted with being fearful. It's hard too see where much good will come out of it. It's hard too see where much good will come out of it. And that's OK...this states' and territories' primary/caucus election season is for Americans to nominate party candidates. msj Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I hope Trump wins... it would be hillarious. I agree. Having a pro-choice liberal masquerading as a conservative would be fun. Big Guy Posted February 24, 2016 Report Posted February 24, 2016 I encourage conversation between Canadians and Americans. I abhor posts that shut down conversations. Most intelligent Americans and Canadians have no difficulty in conversing civilly with each other. There is only one individual on this forum who has created an avatar which supposedly speaks for American points of view. He could be some high school dropout, living in his Mothers basement, somewhere in North Bay. Why anyone would assume that he speaks for Americans or reflects USA thinking or opinion is beyond me. I doubt if any American citizen would so consistently try to irritate Canadian posters and cause them to have a low opinion of Americans. Quote Note - For those expecting a response from Big Guy: I generally do not read or respond to posts longer then 300 words nor to parsed comments.
