Let's cut to the chase. The tapes of concern are conversations from  Wiener's wife to Hilary that would indicate the two are in a sexual relationship.

Hilary working late and eating in with her assistant, (Wiener's estranged wife),  is the worst kept secret on Capital Hill next to Bill Clinton's herpes..

Really? Given the spotlight on her and Bill for the last thirty five years, given the intensity and the utter fixation the far right media and conservative action groups have with her, to the point of hiring investigators to read through every single thing they can subpoena or grab from ATI requests, you think that her being a lesbian could have somehow been kept secret? This isn't the days of Kennedy when a genteel sort of nudge-nudge attitude kept the press from revealing his affairs. If there was the slightest evidence of her being involved in a lesbian relationship it would be all over FOX news, to say nothing of Brietbart.

I think the leaks are too late. I think Clinton no matter how bad the leaks look, is seen as the lesser of two evils at this point.

I wouldn't be so sure........I was burnt (along with many, many other people far more in the know then I) assuming Trump was finished many times during the primary.....per Wikileaks, team Clinton and the DNC have been proven to be in collusion with media outlets and now with pollsters........as more evidence piles up, Trump/The right suggestions of media and polling bias might very well be true.

On paper, I would tend to agree that this latest Clinton scandal and reopening of the FBI case is too little, too late............but I wouldn't bet on it......with that said, it could very well result in Clinton squeaking by into the White House, with the GOP keeping the Congress and Senate......ending in a tainted Clinton presidency before she even steps into the Oval office......and perhaps an impeachment process starting the day she is sworn in.

This is a stunning and irresponsible move by the FBI with just 11 days before election and even now while advance voting is taking place. To announce an investigation but be so vague that it plays right into the hands of Trump.

it leaves you wondering if the Republicans are in on it and it could very well backfire. Another attempt to destroy Hillary.  Enough with the dam emails.

I think mainstream media are ignoring a lot of leaks about Hillary.  They're trying to protect her.

Which ones?

Her deleted and hidden emails.....all it requires is a GOP majority in Congress to impeach her, then a GOP majority (or a majority including Democrats) in the Senate to boot her out of office...........with that, if she is indicted by the FBI in the coming weeks, and assuming she "won" the election, I highly doubt the Electoral Collage, via the States, would give her the required votes to become president, which then would result in the president being selected (through the electoral collage) by an up or down vote by the Congress and Senate....which are both currently controlled by the GOP.

Right. Sounds highly suspicious of a GOP attack and nothing to do with facts.

Irresponsible? You mean the FBI is irresponsible for doing its job? They are not being "vague", publishing details now would taint any criminal proceedings brought against Clinton.........

What is "irresponsible" is the DoJ trying to quell the FBI doing its legal duty of notifying the elected officials in Washington........furthermore, what is irresponsible is the lead agent's wife, the agent that investigated Clinton, receiving money from a Clinton donor.........Likewise, what is irresponsible, is former President Clinton meeting with the Attorney General behind closed doors during the investigation of Hillary Clinton........

Nixon got kicked out of office for deleting a couple of minutes of taped conversations during the Watergate circus........Hillary is accused of far worse.

Good grief. You are being sucked into the GOP vacuum. Typically, FBI investigations are kept under wraps

Omg. Comparing this to watergate. Unbelievable.

No, I'm not "sucked" into anything, other then factual evidence presented to date........if you know the FBI keeps things under wraps, why did you accuse them of being vague?

I'm not, this could very well be far worse.........Nixon's own actions did himself in, there is no reason Clinton shouldn't account for her own, likewise any other actors that are proven to have broken the law.

I doubt anybody cares about the latest round of the email saga.  The email server story has been in the public eye for ages, and voters have already had plenty of time to make up their minds about it.  Anybody who hasn't already dumped Hillary over the email server probably isn't going to decide to now. Kind of like anybody who didn't dump Trump over the first 11 sexual assault claims isn't going to change their mind when #12 comes forward.

The Clinton campaign sure seems to care.......if it didn't mater, they would have "changed the page" with her initial public statement last night.......their continued response keeps it alive, much like Trump when he spent weeks going after the Miss Universe or all the women he "raped", hence I would assume team Clinton considers it worth "addressing", and not because people don't care.........

........Granted Team Clinton backers will still support her, like Trump supporters continued support of him, where this will damage her is among independents and Bernie Sanders supporters that might not break Trump but stay home.

Of course they care. Comey has dropped a bomb into this election giving absolutely no details and against the advice of senior Justice Department officials.  Comey himself said "The FBI cannot yet assess whether or not this material may be significant". WTF, maybe you should act like a normal law enforcement agency and actually have some evidence before you go public, instead of leaving it open for people to make up anything they want.

Y'all ask me Hilary's girlfriend is highly intelligent, and could do better, i.e., Taylor Swift, Kate Perry, Selina Gomez,  Michelle Rodriquez,  Justin  Bieber (yah I know you think he's a guy get real).

I think they're totes adorbs together!

But I agree with Argus: if anybody had anything concrete, they'd have published it by now. I doubt that Trump has the sense of decorum to hold back on something like that, and even if he did, his alt-right allies sure don't. If they had anything, Steve Bannon would have it front page on Breitbart each and every day.  Rudy Giuliani already accused her of cheating on Bill without any evidence, so there's no reason to imagine that they wouldn't "go there" if they had any ammunition to "go there" with.

Gennifer Flowers says that Hillary gets more pussy than a whole NFL team and Bill knows and doesn't care. Maybe she's right. But that's just hearsay, and one would think that if Hillary had this long history going all the way back to when Gennifer and Bill were an item I can't help thinking that somebody would have come forward by now.

Something that might be relevant here: the "other" worst-kept secret in Washington is Condoleeza Rice's personal life. The opinion I read (and I can't recall whose it was) was that the media have let her maintain her privacy because she's not running for office... but if she did decide to run for office, her personal life would be fair game. Hillary is running for office, and her personal life is fair game.

If you guys had picked a normal nominee, this might matter.  If Hillary were facing a real candidate, maybe people would want to have a serious conversation about her email issues. But since you picked the worst major-party candidate in American history, voters outside the "Trump Revolution" are more concerned about keeping the senile orange clown out of office than about Hillary's shortcomings.  Come back in 4 years with a real alternative for voters instead of this novelty candidate or protest candidate or whatever the hell this was supposed to be.

Indeed. Why should it even matter if Hillary had lesbian relationships? Or non-lesbian ones? Maybe her and Bill have an open relationship. At what point do people stop fantasizing about the oh-so-exciting sex lives of ~70 year olds?

This whole election is so dumb. What are the top issues? Pussygate and email servers. Meanwhile we've heard barely a peep about the economy, foreign policy, or any issue of import. No wonder so much of the world is turning away from democracy and embracing the Chinese and Russian model of thinly veiled strongman rule.

The most senior DoJ official (AG Loretta Lynch) already screwed that pooch by meeting with Bill Clinton at the Phoenix airport days before the FBI ruled on Hillary's "accidental" mishandling of classified emails.

The FBI investigation was never officially closed, and Comey promised updates to Congress.

It shouldn't but we obviously aren't there yet.

Sorry, but Americans don't run their election campaigns for foreign approval.  "We" will not try harder just to meet another expectation.

Clearly the present election content has attracted lots of media attention, so it must be working (even in Canada).

First of all she didn't delete anything. Her staff did that. Second of all, I'm still waiting to hear from one of you guys about anyone in history who has ever been charged, never mind convicted for mishandling classified information.

And obviously, that's all it took, a few minutes chat with Clinton, to convince her to endanger her career, her freedom and reputation in order to decide not to charge his wife.

Btw, didn't the FBI director, when asked whether everyone involved at the FBI agreed that no reasonable person would prosecute Clinton, say yes, all the investigators, agents and analysts agreed there was no intent and no crime?

Oh wait, it's all a conspiracy, riiiiight?
