bush_cheney2004 Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 You are making my case for me. At least Trudeau doesn't have control of nuclear weapons. Trudeau would be afraid of nuclear weapons....Trump isn't. He likes them ! Economics trumps Virtue.
DogOnPorch Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Trudeau would be afraid of nuclear weapons....Trump isn't. He likes them ! Syria might actually be improved by a few megatons right about now. All the civilians have left... Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
bush_cheney2004 Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Drivel. As someone who worked for years in an office environment filled with a variety of ever-changing classification systems on emails and instructions on what could and could not be sent various ways I can tell you that 95% of people who work in offices with confidential material send some improperly on an ongoing basis or simply find workarounds. For example, I would send a list of social insurance numbers to a contact at another government department, with no names or information attached, then call her up and have her run searches on the numbers for criminal histories. If I had actually written anything about the numbers the email would have had to be encrypted, which was a huge pain in the ass. Impressive....social insurance numbers ! Now that's "TOP SECRET" ! If handling such pedestrian information properly was such a stress for your governement office, then that experience is not even in the same conversation for Clinton's State Dep't....or mine. Economics trumps Virtue.

No, the difference is Trudeau is able to converse with others. He has the ability to listen, something the egomaniac Trump is incapable of. History has demonstrated time and time again, that those who think they have all the answers, turn out to be complete disasters.

bush_cheney2004 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 The Washington Post is finally discussing the obvious...why isn't Hillary Clinton running far ahead in this presidential election ? NEW YORK — With Election Day less than two months away, Democrats are increasingly worried that Hillary Clinton has not built a formidable lead against Donald Trump despite his historic weaknesses as a national party candidate. Even the Democratic nominee’s advisers acknowledge that she must make changes, and quickly. Clinton leads Trump by three percentage points, having fallen from her high of nine points in August, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average. That tightening has frustrated many Clinton allies and operatives, who are astonished that she isn’t running away with this race, given Trump’s deep unpopularity and his continuing stream of controversial comments. Democrats Wonder and Worry... Economics trumps Virtue.

bush_cheney2004 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 (edited) But Clinton is not accused of sending Top Secret information by email, so why even bring that up? She's not even accused of sending Secret information by email. She's accused of sending confidential information (the famous small 'c's). Here's why: Newly released emails from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed that her aides rushed to provide “top secret” security clearances for one of her major donors. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2016/06/16/new-state-dept-emails-reportedly-show-top-secret-clearance-was-rushed-for-the-major-clinton-donor-appointee/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Jan. 29, State Department spokesman John Kirby announced the State Department was concurring with the intelligence community’s inspector general that the 22 emails — which spanned 37 pages — contained “Top Secret” information. Some of the information involved extremely sensitive “special access programs.” http://dailycaller.com/2016/03/31/the-state-dept-has-still-not-answered-this-crucial-question-about-those-22-top-secret-hillary-emails/#ixzz4Jsfttsjl ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Emails on Hillary Clinton’s private server marked “top secret” ended up in the inboxes of three total Clinton aides, the State Department revealed. The 22 emails over seven email chains included Clinton aides Jacob Sullivan, Cheryl Mills, and William Burns, according to documents released by the State Department to Vice News Friday. ...In his report on the investigation into Clinton’s private email server, FBI Director James Comey said that the emails were not put under stricter classification after the fact. "Seven e-mail chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received," Comey said. "These chains involved Secretary Clinton both sending e-mails about those matters and receiving e-mails from others about the same matters.” http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/288954-three-clinton-aides-received-top-secret-info Edited September 10, 2016 by bush_cheney2004 Economics trumps Virtue.
Derek 2.0 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 ..why isn't Hillary Clinton running far ahead in this presidential election ? Just when you thought things couldn't get worse for her, Clinton steps in it again, in doing so, alienating 10s of millions of Americans: Hillary Clinton expressed "regret" Saturday for comments in which she said "half" of Donald Trump's supporters are "deplorables," meaning people who are racist, sexist, homophobic or xenophobic. "Last night I was 'grossly generalistic,' and that's never a good idea. I regret saying 'half' -- that was wrong," Clinton said in a statement. Even Clinton and her team know they just had their own Romney-47% moment (or "Beer & Popcorn" up here).......these latest comments, compounded by similar comments several weeks ago, will alienate millions of voters and demonstrate the contempt and elitist facade many people felt Hillary already hides behind.......these aren't just "Trump supporters", but "Bernie supporters" and the classic "Reagan Blue Dog Democrats"...... I expect those now tightening rust belt swing states will move to Trump.......
Argus Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 You don't run government communications through private servers that the government has no direct control over. How do you think she is going to handle that if she is President?? By not doing that. Colin Powell did it too. The US survived, somehow. And, oddly, none of the congressional committees have subpoenaed his emails nor has any private group sued to get hold of all his emails. Argus Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Here's why: Newly released emails from former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton revealed that her aides rushed to provide “top secret” security clearances for one of her major donors. This is the kind of thing which looks really nasty to those who are ignorant about how your system works. But given campaign donations are what buy ambassadorships, from both parties, it's hardly of any relevance. On Jan. 29, State Department spokesman John Kirby announced the State Department was concurring with the intelligence community’s inspector general that the 22 emails — which spanned 37 pages — contained “Top Secret” information. Some of the information involved extremely sensitive “special access programs.” The State Department has classified more than 2,000 of Clinton’s 30,000-plus emails that Clinton gave the agency in Dec. 2014. But those classifications have all been retroactive. The State Department says that the information was not classified when it was sent to or from Clinton. The FBI has said nothing she sent or received was marked as classified. Maybe you guys should be going after the State Department people who sent innapropriate stuff to her. bush_cheney2004 Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 The FBI has said nothing she sent or received was marked as classified. Maybe you guys should be going after the State Department people who sent innapropriate stuff to her. Comey's testimony directly contradicted many of Clinton's lies about her private email server and the classification of emails. Clinton compounded her "problem" by forensically erasing thousands of subpoenaed emails. Clinton is responsible, not staffers or contractors. Economics trumps Virtue.

?Impact Posted September 10, 2016 Report Posted September 10, 2016 Colin Powell is not running for president. We can be certain that Donald Trump has not "done it". We can be certain that Donald Trump has done a lot of illegal activity, and is a worse criminal than Clinton. The only difference is that Clinton did her crimes as a public servant, something Trump has yet to become. Rest assured however, that Trump will do far worse if ever allowed to.
