It would be extremely naive to think that CBC execs were not aware of Ghomeshi's indiscretions. Hiring somebody to investigate when you control the parameters of the investigation and get to analyze the information does not fill me with confidence. OMG, it's because they became aware of those indiscretions that they hired an independent to investigate. I mean, they turned down Trailer Park Boys - a show that cost nothing, was more Canadian than snow, and was arguably the funniest Canadian domestic product ever as well as a national AND international hit. It's like if the government tried to get a Canadian bank to run culture. CBC Radio is much better, btw, and CBC3 was for awhile a beautiful vision of what all of CBC could be like - Canadian musicians and caring curators and fans celebrating and building something great out of nothing. Even Americans tuned in. I seriously don't get how CBC Television persists. Hopefully, the lack of hockey will kill what it was. Quote Looks like someone has a new patronizing catch phrase !
