At least there, a woman has some voice, here in Canada you want to give men zero say in their defence. BTW - I have never accused anyone of lying. You should study up a bit on what actually happens in court in these cases. Men already have zero say, that is to say, they have to say zero, in their defense. The onus is completely on her assuming it's a he/she case and if she has ever purchased a copy of Playgirl it can be brought into evidence to try to undermine her case. The one silver lining that may come from this case is that women won't be afraid to come forward in future. Quote

It's like the RCMP assigning an independent to investigate the RCMP. No, I think the RCMP should investigate the sexual harassment issues inside the CBC. There is an independant investigator for the RCMP in case you didn't know. It's the OPP's stomping grounds in this paricular case so that's why they are investigating it. How this will work is evidence that this independant law firm finds will be passed to the OPP. Quote

Of course that is what she wants, it's called getting out in front...or controlling the situation. As I said, she's looking for someone/anyone to take the fall when it should come down to Ghomeshi's producer and her. She should be fired/resign for one of 2 reasons; 1) She knew (as it seems everybody at CBC did), and therefore chose to turn a blind eye for her star employee - until it became her problem. 2) She didn't know (when everybody else did), which shows just how out of touch she is (or blindly ignorant) with her company. Sorry. None of that holds any water. The one taking the fall is Jian. She is simply getting a qualified firm to unearth the evidence to see what actually happened. You may have heard that the evidence that led to his firing was a video on his own cell phone he showed in a seriously flawed attempt to explain the rumors that were flying around.
