Oh good lord....

Don't ask him to clarify. He'll accuse you of being against him having a family.

Same reason you have a captain on a flight deck, a captain on a ship, a commanding officer in a military unit, etc. It's what humans do.

The above situations are not democracies and they require a very clear chain of command to function properly in the various scenarios and situations they may encounter.

Poor comparisons.

So I wonder ,does trudeau want to sit down with this evil doer and figure out the root cause or ring their neck?

I think you'll find in these scenarios and others where important decisions have to be made a chain of command in important. Coinsultation must of course be part of the process as it is in cockpits and bridges, but as Harry Truman once pointed out the buck has to stop somewhere.

Maybe trudeau should make sure his house is protected while away.

I don't care what Harry Truman said.

Decision making in a military situation where a decision has to be made quickly or soldiers will be lost is very different from decision making in a political process where people can take years to evaluate all the evidence to make an informed decision.

Like he said in his discussion on the terrorists..... as a bostonian he would understand their fear.....but as a leader you rise above that to ask the questions that can help.....pretty simple logic really.

Especially since no Trudeau ever expressed opposition to property rights. Very confused indeed. I can see why the topic was quickly abandoned.

So are you going to clarify where you got these out-of-left-field assumptions about Justin Trudeau or have you realized you don't know what you're talking about?

Did Pierre Trudeau cause the Charter to be written? Does it contain protection for property rights?

Don't ask him to clarify. He'll accuse you of being against him having a family.

I don't play that card. When someone demands an instant answer on a Board, I get my back up. There are some who seem to have little time for work and spend their lives, for example, criticizing Canada. Wouldn't you rather have posters with lives better balanced between the Board and real life concerns? Edited by jbg

Justin Trudeau's father, Pierre, refused to protect property rights in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. The nominal excuse was the NDP. I suspect that he and Justin really don't believe in private property. That seems to be changing, and for unfortunate reasons (link to article, excerpts below):

Justin Trudeau and family 'extremely troubled' after home broken into while wife, kids slept

OTTAWA Justin Trudeau says he and his family are extremely troubled after their Ottawa home was broken into Saturday morning while his wife and children slept.

The Liberal leader himself was working in Winnipeg at the time.

****************

Were a little bit rattled but were hoping that investigation and security will keep us safe, Trudeau said.

One of my political science professors at Cornell, during fall 1978 was an avowed Socialist. Indeed his leanings were part of the syllabus. In a lecture he said that he had "second thoughts" after the robbery. I wonder if Justin is now having similar reservations.

Again, I take no joy in his family's fear and misfortune. I have a wife and two teen-age sons and understand the hell he would be going through since his work takes him away from home. Still, private property has a reason for existing.

1) What on earth does socialism have to do with Justin Trudeau? He's a capitalist!

2) Private property rights can't be enshrined in the Constitution because we don't know yet how much of Canada is Aboriginal Title.

PTrudeau knew that.

So if something isn't in the Charter, he must have been opposed to it, even if he never said he was? And if Pierre was opposed to something, JT must be too, even if he never said he was? How about if something like the notwithstanding clause is included? Does that mean both Trudeaus obviously wanted it?

You obviously don't have an idea how the charter was written and how the provinces had to sign on.

Wouldn't you rather have posters with lives better balanced between the Board and real life concerns?

I'd rather have posters that back up what they say with facts, rather than posters that make things up and then get offended when you call them on it.

On other forums, some people think that maybe the Conservative hired someone to place a bug in Justin's house so they could spy on him, possible I guess, since they are more scared of him than the NDP are. I like to know HOW that person got in and they must have been aware that Justin was at home.

Those people should loosen their tin-foil hats, as they are clearly cutting off oxygen to their brains………If this was some Watergate like operation to bug young Trudeau, why would they leave a note and display of cutlery?

There is a greater chance of Margaret, off her Scooby Snacks, doing this then one of Trudeau’s political opponents……

But Justin was in Winnipeg and is the forum Rabble?

News today is that the intruder(s) into the Trudeau home left a number of butcher knives lined up on the kitchen floor and a note placed on top.

I think that I know how I would react to such a "message" sent while my wife and children were in the house.

Note - For those expecting a response from Big Guy: I generally do not read or respond to posts longer then 300 words nor to parsed comments.

A blind, yet helpless rage?

It would scare the bejeebers out of me. I would immediately get additional security, review my living arrangements with my spouse. Does she still want to live in that house? It being a rental, she and/or the children may not want to return to that house.

Considering that the media has shown all kinds of pictures of the house now anyone knows where to find him and/or his family.

Blind, helpless rages do little to resolve a problem.

And maybe the liberals did it, so people like you would say , ''On other forums, some people think that maybe the Conservative hired someone to place a bug in Justin's house'' Better look under your bed tonight to make sure steve is not under there.

funny that when reporters swarm Rob Fords home daily it is OK, but when it is the Hair That Walks Like a Man....

Well lets be fair.

Reporters went to his office at City Hall but he was never there.

Not to mention none of the reporters had an access card to underground garages so they werent in on the drug deals and illicit drinking.

They tried to get comments from his honor but bars and taversn wouldnt let the reporters in.

In some respects yes. In other ways, no.

I do want people to have some measure of privacy, afterall they are deserving of some off time .

If Trudeau were to be absent continually, and after repeated requests for info or answers as his job dictates, then they have a right to go further and get his replies where they can. If that means waiting outside his house, so be it.

The remedy is to be made available and answer the questions.

OR...

One can be a trend setter and change the SOP of issuing press releases as to when and where you will be and what for.....which of course he could not do since who wants to write down....going drinking in a pkg lot, pissing in bushes, buying drugs from the dry cleaner, getting drunk in inderground lots, ingestign crack mary jane and so on.

What led to reporters on Fords doorstep is that RoFo tried to buy land adjacent to his backyard. So the reporter had every right to do what they did.

RoFo escalated it from a minor incovenience via his lying ways.

RoFo's family deserve privacy, and pretty much get it, his kids are not seen nor is his wife unless she pops up to say she makes sure "he has enough to eat at home".

Sure why not. We have cameras on us all the time. Why not have the cameras on politicians as well?
