bush_cheney2004 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 I agree. I cannot understand how a member could (get away with) use the ignore function to ignore posts in a thread.... "Get away with" ??? The ignore option is available by design and has been recommended and used by many members going back years on this forum. The ignore feature is not exclusive to a single thread. It is telling that one would expressly criticize its usage only when the option was exercised by specific member(s). Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

I might be mistaken, but in the past, didn’t numerous members pronounce gleefully that they placed you on ignore? It would stand to reason, if various members took umbrage to your contributions, that they too would simply place you on ignore…..perhaps I’m missing the disconnect here Quote

Derek 2.0 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 Yes...they did so with much drama and fanfare, encouraging other members of the same ilk to do likewise. The worm turns..... So I assume the remainder choose not to exercise the ignore feature (if simply unable to just ignore you with a concentrative effort, sans the feature), instead they go with talking about you and your contributions further in this thread……… One would assume that if a certain segment deem you a “troll”, they’d simply suspend “feeding you”…..instead they continue on, in effect lending further attention to the proclaimed “troll”…..appears a bass-ackwards strategy. Precisely.....and something that the mods have logically pointed out. One of the members I put on ignore actually cracked and started sending me hate messages, the exact opposite of "ignore". As Spock would say....."Fascinating". Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
waldo Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 Yes...they did so with much drama and fanfare, encouraging other members of the same ilk to do likewise. The worm turns..... yes indeedee, the... worm... has turned! You often trumpeted your "I've never ignored anyone ever" claim - you wore it like a merit badge over "sissy members" who chose to use the ignore feature. Yes, the worm turned! Quote

One of the members I put on ignore actually cracked and started sending me hate messages, the exact opposite of "ignore". As Spock would say....."Fascinating". messages... as in plural? Couldn't be me as I've only ever sent you one single lone PM - ever. I did not realize you had other fans! I certainly grant you... encourage you... to quote that PM I sent you. I've already stated this previouisly as you continue to play your victimhood game repeatedly highlighting "hate messages" you've received. My PM included no "hate"... but I certainly stated what I thought of your gloating message claiming never to have received a warning/suspension over your self acknowledged trolling self/act... you know, back when you used to openly tout your trolling presence. You don't seem to do that anymore - wassup? Quote
Michael Hardner Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 I have a suggestion that the administration review their policy of bumping previous threads into current threads. ? The moderators don't post here, so I don't know what this means. Many old time posters on here bump old threads to revive arguments made in the past. I doubt that it's possible technically to prevent that. Quote Click to learn why Climate Change is caused by HUMANS Michael Hardner
BubberMiley Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 So I assume the remainder choose not to exercise the ignore feature (if simply unable to just ignore you with a concentrative effort, sans the feature), instead they go with talking about you and your contributions further in this thread………I'm talking about a situation where, for example, I might present questionable evidence that all guns should be banned. You might try to counter that questionable evidence with contrary data. I would then gleefully continue presenting my questionable evidence, over and over again, while boasting how I have "certain members" on ignore and so, la-la-la, I can't hear you. I think it degrades the forum. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
jbg Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 for 35K+ posts? That's not quite accurate. It's over 34,000 posts. bush_cheney2004 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 Well that's sounds odd.........It must be in some regards flattering to have a cult following though Indeed....the amount of time my critical devotees spend trying to get my attention is astounding. Conspire as they might with PMs, they have no answer except for the obvious one that the mods have repeatedly recommended...IGNORE. Instead, they fume, count my posts, and plot another attack that is sure to fail. Sad..... Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

bush_cheney2004 Posted June 18, 2014 Report Posted June 18, 2014 Deliberately trying to bait Canadians. Interesting....is this forum improved and sustained by members "deliberately" trying to "bait" Americans, Iraqis, Pakistanis, Russians, First Nations, and many others? Are Canadian members given a waiver on such behaviour ? Is this alleged "bait" so irresistible that it cannot be ignored ? Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
