Yay! The first post of 2014!

Is anybody making resolutions for the coming year?

My resolution is to use less sugar in my coffee. And other little things that take minimal effort but could make a difference if I remember them every single day.

Anybody else?

I'm also going to try using less sugar in my coffee. I'm also pledging to have 6 pack abs by the spring.

I'm going to try to get rid of a few years of retirement bulge ... going to the gym, riding a bike, etc.

And I'm going to surround myself with positive people, and dump the downers. :)

Happy New Year!

I resolve not to post any more naked pictures of myself on the internet.

Setting specific goals is always a good thing to do, it's probably the most effective tool for improving your life in every imaginable facet. New Years resolutions are a part of this, but I think people should always be setting goals for themselves, not just once a year on New Years, though it's a good start and a good excuse to set goals.

Several years ago someone close to me had a New Years resolution to quit smoking after they had been doing so several times a day for decades, and they haven't had a cigarette since! So goals/resolutions do work if you're committed to achieving them.

I'm just resolving to stay in Florida longer and continue having a good time until I drop. I'm also resolving to spend less time on the computer and more time painting (not the walls).

I'd suggest resolving to write all your posts yourself and not just copy and paste from Maclean's magazine.

Yeah, that HDS signature just begs me to bring up the pathetic plagiarism over and over. I will resolve to focus on exposing your lies instead.

Agreed, but answering trolls is against the rules so I'll ignore him when I come back.

Have a good year everyone, and don't feed the trolls, it's against forum rules.

cheers

I agree that saying "the left fully succumbs to Harper Derangement Syndrome" is classic trolling. I guess I fell for it. My bad.

Not going to happen. I would never have an affair with a man whose wife got a battle rifle for her 16th birthday and has a code-name like "The Warlord". :o

That's just plain a bad idea.
