Shady Posted December 26, 2013 Report Posted December 26, 2013 Exactly. That's the point. Now quit crying about the fact that some people have a different perspective from you. It's unbecoming. Complete nonsense. The only crying is from atheists in this forum acting like victims. It's absurd. I don't care how Christmas is for an atheist. The same way I wouldn't expect them to care how it is for me. Quote

DogOnPorch Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 I'm a dirty atheist but it's still not really the Christmas season until I hear all 2-1/2 hours of the Messiah. Here's a superb version. If the evening wears on...there's always The Passion of St Mathew. That'll send the relatives-a-packin'. Wilber Posted December 27, 2013 Report Posted December 27, 2013 Yup, a lot of great music is religion based. The Kings College Christmas album is my favourite this time of year. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC

kimmy Posted December 28, 2013 Report Posted December 28, 2013 One thing I definitely will not miss about the Christmas season is some of the crappy songs that they play on the PA in stores and malls. I'm talking specifically about some of the new annoying pop-music style Christmas songs. "Last Christmas I gave you my heart..." BARF Also, that fricken kid wishing for his two front teeth. But the worst has to be diva-style performances of Christmas classics. The ones who never actually sing the melody because they turn every phrase into a vocal warm-up exercise. "Let us bring him silver-- and GOOO WO WO LOLOLOLO HO HO WO WOWOWO OHHHH WO WO WOOAAHHHH" I guess to some people that's the sound of "serious vocal chops", but to me it's the sound of a barnyard animal giving birth. And she's not even done yet. She's still wailing away. "Let us bring him siiilllililililiverrrrrrr... and goooolololololllhoooowoooowoooowooooooooooooo." I hope that now that there's Obamacare this poor woman can afford to have her kidney stones properly taken care of and won't be assaulting our ears at this time next year. -k Quote (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ Friendly forum facilitator! ┬──┬◡ノ(° -°ノ)
